SoulLord 06-06-05, 01:20 PM	I'm planing to create an orc (3rd lvl) using only core material (dmg,PHB, MM and the psionics from the srd) and I was thinking along the lines of a charger. 36 point buy and 3000 gp for equipment I was thinking of going high str and con. And then go for spirited charge with either a greatsword or a spiked chain for the extra reach. This is for a 1 on 1 battle So what do you think?
Norhg 06-06-05, 01:59 PM	Barb one/fighter two or Orc Paragon 3 Would be my choices. Atm I favor spiked chain, but you can do whichever. Spiked chain might be a little harsh considering your racial int modifier and Combat Expertise requiring 13 int. But if it is workable the high strength offered by an orc is great for a chain wielder.
Nuntius128 06-06-05, 02:20 PM	Feral Orc/Orc Paragon 2. :D Actually, I do prefer the Orc Paragon 3 character. If its just a 1-on-1 battle, and roleplaying won't be so much of a factor for ya, I'd boost Dexterity up to maybe 10 or 11, then dump everything else into Strength and Constitution like you'd mentioned. I don't have my DMG handy, so I don't remember the point costs right now. If you can't go with the Orc Paragon, then Barbarian 1/Fighter 2 is an excellent idea. Those combat feats will make you a pain to deal with, especially if you take Knockdown(again, book isn't handy, so prereqs are forgotten to me, in case he can't take em that early).
