Best Party to take on Orcus (Bloodstone) [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-11-06, 09:58 PM I just posted looking for help on character designed to fight Demons and devils. Thinking further......... it would be nice to have some insights as to best party make up.

Assuming the party well be around level 20 and expect to go through H1-H4 bloodstone series (slightly modified). What 4-5 characters would be BEST suited.

Any classes/prestige from all WOTC books are fine.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

10-12-06, 08:59 PM Just have a Druid 20, Cleric 20, and a Wizard 20. The other 2 can be whatever. Consider typing in Campaign Smashers in google. Or perhaps scour some of the Char Op. Handy Links for some really killer builds.

Since its personal taste for optimized party here are my favs
monk2/cleric8/master of shrouds10
Druid 20
Fighter2/Psion 8/Slayer10
Beguiler6/rogue2/Arcane trickster10
Wizard5/Incantrix10/fate spinner5
Prominence

A more serious answer:
Cleric 5 / RSoP 10 / Any-turning-advancement 5
-Can smoke any undead no problem, even epic undead. Perhaps give it some form of outsider capable turning via domain. Maybe splash Contemplative 1.

Artificer 20
-Obvious Reasons

Druid 10 / Planar Shepherd 10
-pure cheese

Wizard 3 / Master Specialist 10 / Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 7
-Can use dispel magic to trump damn near anything anyone casts, and IotSV can block just about any attack. Reactive Spell + veils = the win.

Cleric 5 / Dweomerkeeper 10 / Divine Champion (or whatever it is) 5
-Cheater of Mystra.

You can also throw in Dread Necromancer 20. Given a charisma of around 40 and rod of undead mastery, they can control quite a few force dragons obtained from your local dragon graveyard. Or simply a few thousand apon thousand HD of random undead to keep his army busy.

The standard Saint cleric 6 / Prestige Paladin 3 / Fist of Raziel 9 is nigh untouchable by these guys with a good polymorph any object into a solar. Though the Druid 10 / Planar Shepherd 10 can do most the same stuff he'd have less AC and smite goodness.
