DreamWeaver 07-22-04, 04:55 PM	You can, 3.0 at least, create the ultimately broken character (unless you step into a gigantic anti-magic field) by lvl 16 if you use: Cleric/Contemplative (gives you Prestige Domains, right?)/Spelldancer (only 1 or 2 lvls of this) Then you just need a ring of sustenance and pray beads with a Karma Bead. Using multiple empowered/extended Eagle's Splendor to super increase your Charisma for days at a time, and then use your newly heightened perform check for multi empowered/extended other ability score enhancement spells (Fox's Cunning, Owl's Wisdom, Bear Strength, etc...) for all you other ability scores. Now, it doesn't really matter wht you do since you can also super extend Greater Magic Weapon castings on your arrows and bow, and you can hit anything. Better yet, use throwing axes that you do the same on, and make sure to get Quick Draw. Now you can add your strength modifier to the thrown weapon (which, if increased by a multi empowered Bear's Strength, could easily have a strength modifier of +20 or more, very, very easily in fact; personally, I often made it a +100 modifier at least, hence my strength score was actually around 210+). Worst case scenario, your Greater Magic Weapon didn't give you the appropriate bonus to the weapon to overcome their DR (lets say it was 15/coldiron instead of a magic "+"), so instead the sheer amound of damage you do PER ATTACK will easily overcome the DR. As I said, by lvl 16 I could do anything, by lvl 12 I could be really buff in one or two particular areas for roughly a day, maybe two. Of course, another thing to remember is that I only went in to the Contemplative for the Prestige Domain (the earliest one I could get) to get the Celerity Domain, which is awesome. Eventually, I created a build that used the Faerun Dweomerkeeper since that eventually got me a form of Improved Metamagic, allowing me to be able to infinitely boost my stats, but the build generally didn't finish until lvl 21 or 22 so..... By the way, the key is: your a cleric (restoration spells), ring of sustenance, and what happens to you if you dance too long during a particular day (as described in the Spelldancer PrC). I'm sure you can figure it out after looking these over along with the knowledge of how long it takes to remove Exhaustion and Fatigue effects. Good luck! :D

DreamWeaver 07-23-04, 12:56 PM	Oh, if you have the domains, you get the domain "power" as well. If the Spelldancer cheese is a bit too much, I'll have to bow out and think about it a bit longer. Once I started down the path of using Spelldancer in 3.0, I sort of never looked at another Cleric without adding in at least 1 lvl of Spelldancer. Naturally, many of the same spells used to make a frontline smashing Cleric can be applied to the weapons and armor of an archer Cleric. I'm guessing what you really want are suggestions for feats (and the progression/timing of picking them up), along with possible prestige classes that should be looked at (along with how many lvls in them) to assist your archer so that they could still be decent without all of their spells up. For the above, like I said, I'll have to refresh myself on all of the various feats/PrCs. Anyone else have some suggestions for Sakris?
PhoenixInferno 07-23-04, 01:23 PM	When you gain a new domain, you get a 3rd domain to select domain spells from and a 3rd domain power - yes, extra domains are great. My personal favorite is a Cleric Archer of Gond, using the Techsmith PrC from Faiths & Pantheons - yeah, sure you don't get Elf & War like an elven cleric archer - but you can use guns! Cleric 8 / Techsmith 10/ Contemplative 1 / Divine Disciple 1 If you do this, you'll actually get 5 of Gond's domains.

(I intend to play a cleric archer of shevarash in our city of the spiderqueen campaign, and would like to use the Elf/War/Time/Celerity domains)

Blade2718 11-16-04, 11:21 AM	Depends on the class giving you the extra domain. Ones that specify a granted domain are pretty easy to figure out. Ones that specify a domain granted by your god, pick a domain granted by your god that you don't have. Sheverash does not grant Time or Celerity, so you'd have a hard time getting both of them. Labelas Eneroth grants Elf and Time, and I think Rillifane Whatever grants Elf and Celerity.
