Best Sorcerer prestige class [Archive] - Wizards Community

Id like to create a spelling machine using a sorcerer but im restrained to 1 max 2 prestiges classes. Id like to know what is the best prestige class to choose for my spelling machine.

12-20-05, 07:26 PM either "Mage of the Arcane Order" or "Incantatrix"

but for Mage of the Arcane Order, only stay in it for 7 levels........Incantatrix is worth staying in all 10 levels

12-20-05, 07:33 PM Sacred Exorcist is good, as is Fatespinner. I think the skill prereqs are hard to meet for a sorcerer to get into Sacred Exorcist, though.

+5 DC on all cold descriptor spells (+7 on evocation cold spells)
+6 on spell penetration checks with cold spells

Both Academy Sorcerer and Warmage prestige classes are found in Dragonlance Age of Mortals. Cold feats are found in Frostburn.

Mage of the Arcane Order is also great great great, since it gives you access to many more spells known than a sorcerer normally are permitted to have.
