Best use of Familiars [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-09-07, 04:00 PM Hey, its me again.

I was reading over the boards when an idea just popped into my mind. Death by familiar. You see me and my DM are always trying to outdo each other by making the best wizards possible (mine are PC his are NPC). His are always better (probably do to his free money). I was reading a post that mentioned a hexblade's familiar. I had always thought familiars were only useful for the con bonus (toad), but I know there are feats that allow you to pump up your familiar. It then came to me: Cast Greater Invisibility or something on it and hang out, outside the dungeon and just have it kill things while I sit outside and eat dorhitos.
Tell me anything you know of that can make this work

02-09-07, 04:16 PM There's a joke between the guys I play with of casting the epic spell vengeful gaze of god through your familiar, causing it to explode (for the greater good).
