Best way to get Arcane/Divine/Psionics all in one build? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I figure you'd have to make extensive use of the Mystic Theurge, Psionic Theurge, and Cerebremancer classes, along with Apostle of Peace or Ur-Priest...

Perhaps something like

Psion 3/Wizard 3/(Apostle of Peace/UrPriest) 2/MyTh 4/PsiTh 4/Cebre 4

You'd end up with 11 levels of psion powers (level 6 psionic powers), 10 levels of Apostle/Ur-Priest (level 9 divine), and 11 levels of arcane powers (level 6 arcane).

Can anyone think of something better?

Seach for the triple threat thread, I posted something there. Assuming MAD isn't an issue, Ranger 1/Psion 4/Ur priest 2/Psychic theurge 7/Nar demonbinder 1/Cerebrancer 5 will get you 8th level psion powers, 9th level cleric spells, and 7th level arcane.

What good are those arcane spells though? It's a rather pitiful selection, and IIRC, the Nar Demonbinder cannot learn more spells that that, can he?

Ah, let's see, I found it.

NDB's spell list:

4th - Beltyn's burning blood, dimensional anchor, dismissal, lesser planar binding, magic circle against good, summon monster IV, wall of fire.
5th - dispel good, flame strike, plane shift, spell resistence, summon monster V.
6th - banishment, fiendform, greater dispealling, planar binding, summon monster VI
7th - blasphemy, fire storm, summon monster VII
8th - flensing, greater planar binding, unholy aura, summon monster VIII

Not many good spells there. Sure, fiendform is great, and the summons are always handy, but overall, how useful is wasting so many levels on an arcane class for use of such a pathetic selection of spells?

I think that I've found the worst way to do it.

Elan bard2/monk3/psionic fist3/nentyar hunter 2/psychic theurge 3/nar demonbinder2/cerebmancer 4

I would say that 8th level psion powers and "crappy" (Flensing, Planar bindings, Summon monster, and Spell resistance are crappy? News to me!) 7th level arcane spells is a lot better then 6th level arcane spells and psion powers.

Well, there's always Arcane Strike. And/or Arcane Disciple. In a build like this, the reliance on wisdom as the DC setter is less crippling than for a pure singlestat caster. IIRC, the completed triple casting build has 8th level spells/powers in each, which is, in point of fact, pretty sweet. Really, the Nar Demonbinder is just icing on the already excellent cake, of 8th level divine/8th level psionic powers. And makes for a much cooler character, besides. Purple Rain? Damn. Now I'm only a psion 15/arcanist 15, with 8th level spells from each. :D

I'll second catharz on this. Nar Demonbinder's spell list is nothing short of pretty good.

I must say that build of yours has me thinking of finally bugging my DM into allowing psions... :)

I wonder if he'll allow him along with Ur-priest... a tough job, but worth it! lol

There is a thread on this subject here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=319439).

It ends up with the following build:
Human
Psion (Telepath) 5 / Psychic Warrior 1 / Ur-Priest 2 / Psionic Theurge 5 / Nar Demonbinder 1 / Ceribromancer 5 / Mystic Theurge 1

Get Practiced Spellcaster for divine spells and you have...
Psi ml 15 lvl 8 powers
Divine cl 16 lvl 8 spells
Arcane cl 15 lvl 8 spells

The Nar Demonbinder spell list if rather poor but you can augment it with the Arcane Disciple feat to get some useful spells and/or Arcane Preparation gives him access to the Corrupt spells form the Book of Vile Darkness.

Heh... well... you could always do Psion 8 / Ur-Priest/Apostle 2 / Psionic Theurge 10 and get level 9 powers and level 9 divine spells... I'm not sure if it's really worth it to pick up NDB for it's rather small assortment of spells when you could just advance your psionics significantly.

Agreed. It's a small spell list, but that doesn't mean it's a pitiful spell list.

are both psionic theurge(Psionic and divine?) and ceribromancer(psionin and arcane?) in XPH? and how bout Nar demon bringer, BoVD? and if so, is a prereq being evil?

What about Cheater of Mystra / Psion with Psychic Theurge? Mix in some PrCs perhaps?

I'am to play one tomorow for the first time :P Think it works... we play high abilities but it goes like this:
Cleric 3 (the cleric from Unearthed arcana) Monk 1 / Psion 1 / Mystic Wanderer 2 / Psychic Theruge 4, think it's very good focusing on two splashing in a few arcane and then dump ur-priest... Is this one weak compared to arcane/psion/divine, thoughts?

This is online in the Mind's Eye articles here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040925b).

Cerebramancer is from the XPH.

Nar Demon Binder is from Unaproachable East and requires that you be evil.

Actually, it doesn't. You can actually have a Paladin Nar Demonbinder if you want.

Blimey, I never realised that.

It paves the way for a Good character capable of casting from all three magic types. It'd be hard as the Divine Champion has a harsh BAB restriction while the Apostle of Peace is very limiting.

Ranger 1 / Wilder 4 / Ilithid Slayer 3 /
Divine Champion 2 / Psychic Theurge 2 /
Nar Demonbinder 1 / Psychic Theurge 2 /
Cerbramancer 4 / Mystic Theurge 1
= Arcane 7th / Divine 8th / Psionic 7th

OR

Psion 7 / Apostle of Peace 2 / Psychic Theurge 2 /
Nar Demonbinder 1 / Cerbramancer 5 / Mystic Theurge 2 /
Psychic Theurge 1
= Arcane 8th / Divine 7th / Psionic 8th

So you can get close to the Psion/Ur-priest/Binder build, but not quite.
Of course you can modify the builds to shuffle the final spell levels around a bit. CL is not as good as the one including the Ur-Priest.
