10-16-05, 11:14 AM I was wondering what would be the best way to spend 26,000 for a 8th lvl half orc barbarian.

str: 28
dex: 14
con: 10
int: 9
wis: 10
cha: 9

10-16-05, 11:17 AM Er - would be nice to know what you already have. If you have nothing, I still might suggest a Con item, but not a +4 as I would do if the rest of your gear was in order.... sheesh that is a horrid Con for a barbarian ;)

Also nice to know a bit about your DM and campaign, but that is more metagamish

10-16-05, 03:37 PM I'd tell you to get a wrathful healing weapon, but you don't have enough cash. For a character like a barbarian that typically has low AC and takes a lot of hits, wrathful healing is a fantastic weapon ability. Minimum cost on that would be +4 (+1 wrathful healing, wrathful healing is +3), so 32,000gp + masterwork weapon cost. Unless someone in your group (or a friendly NPC) can be sweet-talked into crafting it for less than market value for you.

1. Does your character have any gear yet, or are you creating him from scratch?

2. Have you chosen feats for your character? If so, what are they? If not, do you want help with that?

3. What books are you allowed to use? Just the core books? The complete books too? Anything?

4. How in the world did you get 28 strength???

10-16-05, 03:56 PM Heres some basic answers for you basic questions

I only have a +6 Belt of Giant Strength and a +2 Fullbade...sold all of his other items to reequip.

As for feats I have Power Attack, Cleave, and Great Cleave...but I want to go in a Warlord Direction so ill be takeing Leadership and Intimidateing Rage ASAP.

I only have the core books at my disposal.

At 1st lvl I rolled an 18 + 2 racial bonus = 20. Then +1 at 4th lvl and +1 at 8th lvl makes it 22. and the +6 from the belt makes it 28.

10-16-05, 07:22 PM Screw Intimidating Rage, your leadership score sucks so take Might Makes Right at level 12 instead, and don't attract a cohort until then.

Second, my Bard has more constitution than your Barbarian, get a +4 Con belt.

Finally, get these items:

+2 Breastplate (4350)
Ring of Protection +1 (2000)
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (2000)

Why in the world did you sell all your other items? You pretty much cut your equipment value in half when you did that.

10-16-05, 07:37 PM I thought you needed Leadership to take Might Makes Right...I dont have access to the book its in so i dont know the preqs.

I sold everything because I had a bunch of garbage I didnt use, so i wanted to get more utilitarian items.
