Best ways to maximize spell/power save DC's? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-05-06, 02:03 PM Im a real fan of spells and powers that all unfortunatly end up haveing no effect (except very angry people) on a successful save. Enchantments, Illusions, Telepathy powers and some divinations are my bread and butter. What are some great ways to get those DC's sky high. I see the very ovbious "take spell focus and psionic endowment"
What im looking for especially is spells and items that ban boost my spell/power DC or lower the saves of my target. (Especially with spells that dont have an ovbious visual effect or yet again allow a save for no effect)
On the same line the psionitatrixies give a +1 to the dc of their specific dicipline, does anyone know what the formula might be to increase that numeric effect? I basically only play with 1 dm and he allows me to customize my own feats and items if there is allready something similar enough to base it on. (Such as a psionic/divine version of the cerebremancer and such)
I know im not the first spellcaster here to want to get my save DC's hard to beat without haveing to invest huge number of levels and feats to reach the final desired effect, so thanks for your imput.

02-05-06, 07:57 PM Your choices are limited. Your casting stat, feats or prestige class abilities (not many there) Overlap your feats. Tattoo Focus (Necromancy), Greater Spell Focus, Malign Spell Focus; That’s +4 Pick up a paragon for another +1. Look for a high casting stat template. If you’re a sorcerer, the petal is +8 Cha for +2ECL, for example. Just some ideas. If you want to hide your stuff, go Bard.
