Best Weapon Enchantments?? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-20-05, 10:01 AM What would be the best weapon enchantments for a Dervish?? How about best material used for the scimitars?

04-20-05, 10:05 AM I don't know about a dervish ... but I would say that the best material for a weapon (for me anyway) has alway been adamantine ... ignoring hardness just ROX when you are trying to sunder a weapon ....

04-20-05, 11:13 AM Star Metal is the best material (from Complete Arcane), exaclty like adamantine with a bonus.

As far as Weapon enhancements, I would say Holy is way up there on the list if you are fighting evil things and/or things with DR X/good.

I personally like Wounding and Sacred enhancements.

Bane is up there too if there is a monster group you are fighting often.

04-20-05, 11:18 AM I second Wounding. For a character with alot of attacks, it just rocks. I'm also a big fan of Magebane(CA), in a mid- to high level campain nearly everything you face will have either spellcasting ability or a SLA of somekind.

04-20-05, 12:17 PM Metalline and Morphing are two of the handiest abilities (in an FR book, Underdark maybe?, so may not go for all campaigns).

Need silver? Check
Need adamantine? Check
Need blunt? Check
etc, etc

04-20-05, 12:31 PM Keen on a scimitar is a must. It's cheap and goes off all the time.

Metaline gets you through the metal DRs

Holy always goes off and gets you through DR Good

Ghost Strike (Libris Mortis) is the better Ghost Touch. It allows you to not only hit incorporeal but land criticals on them, which Simitars tend to do.

04-20-05, 12:49 PM Metaline with Aruorum +keen if you cant spare the feat is a wonderblade. Every other metal type plus its qusily undistructable.
