| ClobberinTime12-21-06, 05:56 PM | Hey, what is your choice for the best weapon finesse weapon? I worry about rapiers and such because of the piercing damage, and I want two weapon rend. Anyways, let me know what you think. |
| Nifft12-21-06, 06:06 PM | It's a spiked chain. Unless you want to throw them, and then it's a dagger. Was that a trick question? Cheers, -- N |
| ClobberinTime12-21-06, 06:10 PM | No, no trick question, I just am not into the spiked chain, is there and exotic slashing weapon with an 18-20 crit modifier? |
| Marco Belmont12-21-06, 06:12 PM | Elven Courtblade 2 handed, slashing, crit 18-20 usable with weapon Finesse From Races of the wild |
| Prominence12-21-06, 06:13 PM | Take any 18-20 weapon, apply Feycrafted. ....done. I imagine the Great Falchion from Sandstorm would be good. |
| ClobberinTime12-21-06, 08:29 PM | Feycrafted, I'm not familiar with that, does that make the weapon slashing? |
| Edea12-21-06, 08:32 PM | I'm not familiar with it, either, but I'm guessing a weapon made with that technique/material is considered a light weapon. |
| FiestFan12-21-06, 08:43 PM | Elven Courtblade + Spiked Armor + Weapon Finesse = Two Weapon Rend viability. Others will probably debate the merits of TWR as a desirable Feat, but this is a pretty decent way to get it to do decent damage, if you're interested in the Feat. |
| ClobberinTime12-21-06, 08:53 PM | How about Monkey Grip and the Elven Courtblade? That could be wicked! |
| DaveTheMagicWeasel12-21-06, 09:11 PM | How about Monkey Grip and the Elven Courtblade? That could be wicked! Courtblade + Wildrunner + Power Attack is wicked. With the exception of a small number of builds stacking on a large number of size increases, Monkey Grip is not wicked. Just Power Attack for an extra 2 points and you give yourself the option and the extra feat slot. Plus you don't have to wander round town trying to find a blacksmith who makes weapons of a ridiculous size. |
| Surreal12-21-06, 09:13 PM | The Dragonsplits (MM4) are just what you're looking for. They're an exotic 1H weapon, but count as light for the purposes of finesse and TWF (so you can get your Rend in there), which means you can still apply Power Attack. They also have a variable crit range and damage type, for extra versatility. How about Monkey Grip and the Elven Courtblade? That could be wicked! No. Just no. Monkey Grip is really not worth the feat here. |
| Sharp_Claw12-21-06, 09:22 PM | ...Dragonsplits (MM4)... whoa, those are really cool |
| jstorrie12-21-06, 09:23 PM | You definitely want to do a Wildrunner / Champion of Corellon build using an Elven Courtblade and armor spikes for this. Totally definitely. |
