| Eagle Prince01-02-04, 05:33 PM | We started an evil campaign and I made a death pact with the fighter to insure that at least one person in the group couldn't betray me. So to seal the deal, I used bestow curse to lay a curse that any action either of us took to hurt the other, it would have a 50% chance to make that person loose their actions for a whole round. That got me thinking, you could use bestow curse to do lots of gnarly stuff (not just for an evil campaign). All the stuff I've thought of would only be helpful for honesty type of things (like any treasure you find has to be fairly shared, cant lie to each other, etc) and keeping a charmed group member from doing anything detrimental to the party, but there's got to be some other good tricks out there. |
| Boondoggle01-02-04, 06:40 PM | Bestow curse isn't contingent like that. It takes effect immediately. A (lesser) geas is what you want to use. |

However I think bestow curse would still work, as you can make the curse do whatever you want as long as its in line power-wise with the examples. You can't attack X person with a 50% chance to not be able to would be in line with the example. Its not exactly contingent, its just more specific. |
