I'll soon be playing FR Underdark campaign and I'd like to try out the drow Binder sealed with Ronove vestige.

Books: All books except Eberron, Oriental Adventures and Tome of Battle. DM allows UA flaws
Race: Drow (LA +2) or Lesser Drow Karsite (LA +2; Human Traits replaced with Lesser Drow Traits; +2 Cha, +2 Dex, +0 Con), no LA buy-off
Stats: 18, 16, 14, 12, 8, 8
ECL: 8
Align: NE
Cash: 8,000 gp

I need monk-like binder build with Ronove sealed (not 100% of time, of course) and equipment. Heavy armor worn.

Any suggestions?

What do you think about:

Lesser Drow Karsite, NE
Str 19 (18 + 1 on 4th level)
Dex 18 (16 + 2 racial)
Con 12
Int 8
Wis 8
Cha 16 (14 + 2 racial)

Binder-5/KoSS(Ronove)-1
Feats: Weapon Focus (Fists), TWF, Improved TWF, Improved Binding
Uses Full Plate Armor and Valorous Bracers (when used in charge, fists in valorous bracers deals double damage. From Unapproachable East).

Lesser Drow Karsite is a custom race, I take it? You'd be better off w/ a base Karsite, that you painted black, but whatever.

For your 2 bonus Binder feats I'd take Improved Binding, and either Expel Vestige or Ignore Special Requirement. You'll need Improved Binding regardless to make up for your LA, so you can still hit Vestiges earlier. Power Attack is great; RAW, its tricky, but it seems you might be able to add the damage to Otiax' Air Blast, which would be great for stealth options.

For your second Vestige in combat mode I'd do Tenebrous, as the perpetual Deeper Darkness effect combined w/ being able to see through it seems really good (plus, being able to gain control of some undead forever might be nic, and likely considering the Underdark). An extra d8 damage on your attacks and flicker is nice too.

Nothing looks wrong w/ your concept, though, except that I don't like Ronove for the KoSS vestige that much (I prefer putting it off until 11th, using Chupoclops as the KoSS, since its useful to a lot more party roles).

Make sure to get a Fanged Ring (CM) for more hand damage.

There's another build floating around here that uses Shape Soulmeld: Mauling Gauntlets, Bonus Essentia, and Open Least Chakra: Hands to get a +8 bonus to all Str checks and all unarmed damage (uses an incarnum race); you may or may not want to emulate it (its a bit feat intensive).

Don't ignore the new official WotC Vestiges they've been publishing, either.

Good Luck!

edit: I just noticed you scores; this comes out to a 36 point buy. I'd reduce your Dex to a 14 - you won't be able to get any better w/ full plate. I'd raise your Int to a 14 - 4 points per level is fine w/ your limited skill selections, but they're more valuable w/ KoSS (if you ever want Leap Attack, boost your Jump; Ride for a few ranks is also nice, if you ever decide to bind Andras; Climb should be pretty useful in the UD, too).

Great answer! A whole article :) Thank you very much indeed. It was very useful for me, especially an incarnum trick and a ring from Dragon #308. With it I can seal now Chupoclops instead Ranove. Pounce and additional attack - very well.

Lesser Drow Karsite is a custom race, I take it? You'd be better off w/ a base Karsite, that you painted black, but whatever.

I have no choice - only Drow with LA +2 or more flexible Lesser Drow Karsite - campaign (DM) requires Drow and all party must start with LA +2. Some more about race: Tome of Magic allow to give karsite abilities to elves who have a Karsus-blood human in his family tree. I used Lesser Drow from PGtF 191 as base race. Result mix is:

+2 Dex, +2 Cha
Immunity to sleep
+2 Will saves vs. magic
Darkvision 60', light blindness
DR 5/magic
SR 10+CL
Magic Draining Attacks
Spell Healing
Spellcasting inability
Proficient with simple and martial weapon, light and medium armor
Spellcasting Inability
LA +2
Karsites are more flexible than base Drow, the idea behind Karsus bloodline is damn cool :D

And a build, Ver 1.1:

Lesser Drow Karsite
Str-18/Dex-12/Con-14/Int-14/Wis-8/Cha-16

Flaws: Unreactive (-6 to initiative)

Binder-1, Power Attack OR Ignore Special Requirements, Improved Binding
Binder-2, Pact Augmentation: +5 hp
Binder-3, Shape Soulmeld: Mauling Gauntlets
Binder-4, Expel Vestige, Str +1
Binder-5, Pact Augmentation: +5 hp
(*)Binder-5/KoSS(Chupaclops)-1, Open Least Chakra: Hands
Binder-5/KoSS(Chupaclops)-2
Binder-5/KoSS(Chupaclops)-3, Soul Binding: Chupoclops & Savnok ("Move Ally" trick for charge every round), Str +1
Binder-5/KoSS(Chupaclops)-4, Bonus Essentia

Equiped: Fanged Ring, Valorous Bracers, Savnok armor, Mauling Gauntlets on hands

(*) - the current level. Is there way to get more attacks or increase damage on current level?

Does Chupoclop's Pounce add an Charge attack bonus only to the first attack or to the full attack?

I just noticed you scores; this comes out to a 36 point buy. I'd reduce your Dex to a 14 - you won't be able to get any better w/ full plate. I'd raise your Int to a 14 - 4 points per level is fine w/ your limited skill selections, but they're more valuable w/ KoSS (if you ever want Leap Attack, boost your Jump;

You're absolutely right about point buy!
Can you comment leap attacks - are they possible at all wearing full plate?
