Anyone have ideas on how to get the bite attack for the Furious Inhalation feat from Races of the Dragon as a Dragonborn?

I'd run into this before; isn't it insane, looking at every single piece of official Dragonborn artwork, that they don't have a natural bite attack? I realize that it would make them even more powerful, but for crying out loud they have the option of a TAIL ATTACK as a feat.

A large amount of spells, both divine and arcane, exist in the Spell Compendium that will help you gain a bite for a limited amount of time, but that probably isn't what you're looking for.

I would say go with Shifter, Warforged, or Darfellan, but I think Dragonborn might eat all of their bites. Definately the Shifter's by RAW, as it would lose all of its Shifting. Due to the WF having it as a feat, a DM might allow it. Of course, this is assuming you don't want to deal with anything with an ECL.

How do you feal about Incarnum? A totemist will give you a bite all day long, but it's dispellable.

Apparently Furious Inhalation is Madly Sucky for dragonborn...
Are we really surprised?

No, but on the other hand, I'm having trouble figuring out which race it's supposed to not suck for. Half-Dragons maybe?

I have no problem with Incarnum. That could work. I was hoping there was a feat I'd somehow overlooked somewhere that would allow me to get a bite.

Hunger Domain(LM)?
The granted power can be gained by a feat with Planar Touchstone (Catalogues of Elightenment), if you don't want to waste a level, BTW.

Hunger Domain(LM)?

There are some alignment issues there. If you are evil, you lose the race entirely, and there are no non-evil gods that grant the domain.

Hmm. I just looked through the Dragonborn section again, and it says nothing about losing attacks. I think shifter still would, due to shifting being a racial ability, but Warforged, Darfellan, etc. should still have their bite.

Also, on the hunger domain, see if you could create a Good god with it in your campaign setting. "I serve Althelious, He That Hungers for Justice." ;)

Races of the wild has a feat that lets gnolls get a bite attack while raging (furious inhalation already requires rage right?), at dm's discretion other animal headed characters can take the feat.
