Wondering what you guys think is better?

Also advice on some builds would be awesome.

heres whats in my party (its an evil party)

Druid shapechanger
Rogue halfdragon
Wizard lich

so no real healer so that really blows. However we do have an amulet that gives like 3 heals a day, a buncha lower level heals, and a longsword (which my character would get) that gives 1 heal per day.\

So yea any advice would be appreciated.

Neither of those prestige classes are particularly optimal.

If I were you, I'd make a rogue or a cleric. Check out the stickies at the top of the forum for ideas.

And didn't you already post about this? How come you're creating multiple threads?

What level are you starting at and for how many levels do you expect to play with the character?

Cause if you are playing in a high level campaign (like 15+), I would recommend blackguard, but only because of the following build. Granted, it isnt the craziest optimization, but it is neat regardless.

5 Paladin, then 10 Shadowbane Inquisitor (I believe thats the proper prc...its the one that is essentially a rogue/paladin hybrid. Has a general smite and most importantly...) The cool thing about Inquisitor, is that you dont lose its abilities if you stop being good. You just cannot take any more levels in it. AND it also stacks with your levels of paladin should you ever become a blackguard for determining bonus abilities granted. What this means is, as soon as you take that 16th level (in Blackguard), you swap out all 5 of the paladin levels for blackguard ones and still get all the extra abilities as if you had 10 levels of a paladin because of your Inquisitor levels. So you would become a 6 Blackguard/10 Inquisitor. Actually, I think you also need at least a level of rogue to qualify for the Inquisitor....but whatever.

Point being, it grants a host of neat abilities without even trying to really optimize the character. From there, it isnt that hard to REALLY optimize. Divine feats are always good. Like....really good. Id also recommend a 2 handed adamantine anything to make use of your improved sunder you need for blackguard. While you do have sneak dice...dont worry about making too much use of them. At that level, nearly everything will be immune anyway. Its more of a bonus (rather than what you are built around) for when you can sneak and are flanking. Which will be easy since you have at least 2 minions along with the rest of the party. While you dont have many feats to spare, if the it would work in the campaign, mounted feats are really good. If not, then Id focus on stuff to give or improve your smites because, if I remember correctly, all feats that improve smites apply to all variant smite abilities you have. For example, extra smite would give you +2 uses per day to both your smite good and your general smite.

I realize this was all rather open and not terribly specific, but I hope it helped nonetheless. And again, it only really works in a high level campaign.....or if you are willing to play a paladin/inquisitor before their fall and into said descent.
