I am away from books, but Boneknight seem like just he Prestige Class for you. Also, for you enjoyment start with a dip in Divne Crusader. Feeling cheezy? Smack With Hunter and other semi Divine Grace providing Prestige Classes into the mix aswell.

Don't forget feats! Leap Attack, Combat Brute, Improved Bullrush and Shocktrooper should get you startet.

Oh wait you have a mount, might wanna consider getting Spritid Charge and a lance.

Nice thought, Xeraph!

Good job the guy said "NO Eberron" and the first PrC you happen to propose is exactly from said setting! :D

Witch Hunter needs to be non-evil in my book, btw.

How can you be an ex-Paladin 1/Blackguard 10? As far as I can tell, the best you can do is:
a) Start as a Paladin 11.
b) Take a level of Blackguard, becoming an ex-Paladin 11/Blackguard 1.
c) Trade in 9 levels of ex-Paladin, becoming an ex-Paladin 2/Blackguard 10.

So I think you don't actually ever take the first level of Blackguard. You just trade in a Palladin level for it, or something weird like that.

Can you keep Pally 4? I mean, extra turns and CHA to stuff is handy, nacht? I guess you want to fill out Blackguard as fast as possible ...

The problem with that is you've pretty much shot your code to Hades.

My favourite thing to add on to a blackguard build is some Nar Demonbinder.

I guess you want to fill out Blackguard as fast as possible ...When you lose your paladinhood you lose all the paladin abilities. The only reason to keep the paladin levels is for the ex-paladin abilities that the blackguard get, and those generally aren't worth it.

If you really want some of those extra abilities from keeping Paladin levels, go with Shadowbane Inquisitor levels instead, since they cound as Paladin levels when determining the extra goodies you get with Blackguard.

BoneKnight

Feats:
Combat Brute
ShockTropper

BoneKnight is some Eberron book. Combat Brute and Shock Trooper are [tactical] feats from Complete Warrior. Combat Brute is almost necessary in a melee focused Blackguard build.

Personally, I wouldn't take Divine Shield as you're more than likely going to want to two-hand a really big sword and Power Attack to the nine hells with it. Especially if you go the Combat Brute route (which, again, you should). Of course, if you strap on a buckler it might still be viable.

Wow, I can't believe I never noticed that until now. That's badass, thanks Surreal.

My suggestion:

Feats: Power Attack (Human), Cleave (1), Improved Sunder (3), Combat Brute (6), Divine Might (9), Leap Attack (12), Practiced Spellcaster: BG (15), OPEN (18)

Edit: I suggested Practiced Spellcaster because I can't stand the thought of casting anything with a caster level of only 10. This is simply not viable at higher levels of play. 14, possibly higher depending on equipment, sounds comparable.

Either way...just my 2 cp

You can trade ex-paladin levels for blackguard levels can't you?

My DM sad for me:

U can do this "House Rules" 1 ex-pally / 10 Blackguard

i think:

ex-pally 2/ blackguard 10/ hexblade 3/ Variant pally of tyranny 5

why this???

blackguard has darkblessing

hexblade has arcane resistence and metle

variant pally divine grace + turn undead or rebuke - in this case SmiteEvil (Variant pally) stack with Blackguard ??

and?? :D
Hanniball

Blackguard only has 10 levels pre-epic...

Yes, the variant Paladin cha-to-saves ability stacks with Dark Blessing, but you can't use regular Paladin and a variant in the same build, IIRC.

Okay, using a paladin of tyranny in a blackguard build makes me want to hurt you. It's just LAME.

That being said...

Rogue 3/fighter 2/ex-paladin 5/blackguard 10

Now, I like smiting things. Extra smitings = good, and lay on hands is nifty.

A statistically stronger build:

Rogue 5/fighter 2/blackguard 10/whatever 3

To be honest, you'll want to stop taking blackguard levels around level 4-5. Maybe even at three.

What I'd do would for the same flavor would be paladin of tyranny + divine crusader.

Hello again.

can i use power attack or leap attack in a sunder attempt?

can i use leap attack with combat brute (Momentum swing)??
In this case using power attack with two handed weapom will be x3, if i use leap attack with two handed weapon will be x6?

i can add my Cha modifier to my attack rolls? feat or spell
or trade Str for Cha in melee attack rolls? feat or spell
Pellanor

Power Attack + Leap Attack + Sunder works.

Leap Attack + Momentum Swing should work, but it's a little tricky. Momentum swing triggers the turn after you charge, and leap attack must happen on the charge, so the only time you could pull it off would be if you charged and opponent, then on his turn he moved away from you (or you can use Hustle, or some other ability to move after charging), then you charge him again on your next turn. In this case I would rule that it would do x6 damage (x3 + 100%).

Adding Cha mod to attack roll can be done with a Smite attack. I don't think there's any way to replace Str with Cha for making attacks.
Check the X stat to Y Bonus thread for more on what you can do with your Cha score.

You can use both feats simultaneously, but Leap Attack only triggers when you charge and make a successful jump tjeck. Momentum Swing triggers when you charge, but only adds damage to your next round of attacks equal to your Power Attack penalty*3 (with a two handed weapon). Leap Attack does nothing for your second round, however.

see below

I'm not sure of any way to swap Str for Cha, but there are lots of ways of gaining Cha to hit in addition to strength. Tjeck out the X stat to y bonus (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=320889) thread.

can i use Momentum Swing in different targets?

Momentum Swing: first round target (1)
second round target (2)
