20 levels, core books, complete books, oriental adventures, no psionics.

Half-elf, probably starting as a Ranger, wanting to duel-wield longswords.

What have you guys got?

This is based on an NPC that I made for a campaign I run. Hes a recurring villian that the PCs just can't take down. Hes too damn fast. This is up to lvl 14, modified slightly for your desire to dual wield long swords (instead of kukris which my NPC used).

For your build:

Half-Elf
Scout 6/Ranger 4/Dervish 3/Blade Dancer 1

1-Scout, Dodge
2-Scout
3-Scout, Wep Focus (Longsword)
4-Scout, Mobility (Scout bonus feat)
5-Ranger, Track
6-Ranger, Two Weapon Fighting, Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting (from CAdv, must have STR 13)
7-Scout (Evasion)
8-Scout
9-Ranger, Endurance, Combat Expertise
10-Ranger, (spellcasting, animal companion)
11-Dervish
12-Dervish, Improved Crit (longsword) or Imp Two Weapon Fighting
13-Dervish, Spring Attack (Dervish bonus feat)
14-Blade Dancer

BAB 12
Speed: 70ft(scout and dervish speed enhancements don't stack)
Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, Battle Fortitude +1, Skirmish 2d6/+1 AC, +10 to Balance, Jump and Tumble, Can take 10 on Jump, Tumble, Balance, Perform (dance), Trackless Step, Flawless Stride

My NPC was human with a flaw, so he had Imp Two Weapon Fighting, Run feat, and Imp Crit. If you can take a flaw, then you can get Imp Two Weapon Fighting or Improved Crit (whichever you wouldn't have) in there at this level. I would probably suggest going Scimitars rather than longswords, as this would not require taking Over-sized two weapon fighting (due to Dervish ability), and instead taking Weapon Finesse and focusing more on Dex, or just having an extra feat. Plus, the Scimitars have such a nice crit ranger.

From here, several routes could be taking. Extra Dervish levels for more dances per day and Improved Reaction. If you put off the Imp Two Weapon Fighting, then a couple more Ranger levels gives you that for free, with additional spellcasting. Two more Scout levels gives another bonus feat and Camoflouge. Blade Dancer levels give some ability enhancements to your swords, and at Blade Dancer 4 get another +10 to base speed and Air Walk as Spell like ability once per day.

I'd probably take it to Scout 10/Dervish 5 or Scout 12. Scout 11 gives another 10ft movement and Battle Fort +2, as well as Skirmish +3d6/+3AC and Scout 12 gives another bonus feat. You get Blindsense 30ft at Scout 10 as well.

Tempest 5 (which this build either already or should easily qualify for) would give some other nice abilities. Particularly the Two-Weapon Spring Attack, which would work very well with the Skirmish, awesome tumbling, and awesome speed.

Ranger 2 / Ftr 4 / Dervish 10 / Blade Dancer 2 / xx 2
Now, if u'd consider minor changes, u could go:
Elf Swashbuckler 3 / Ftr 2 / Dervish 10 / Champion of Corellon 2 / Blade Dancer 2 / xx 1

Anyway, just mixing it with Dervish will get the job done. The high-movement will mean u always get full-attacks, while ur opponents never do.

edit: get Magic Training to qualify for the Blade Dancer. If ur dm doesn't allow that, just look up a PrC that gives a bit of spellcasting and take 1 lvl (or just take a lvl of Bard). That's up to you, since don't have my books here.

Just search the boards for Dervish or Frenzied Berserker builds. They both make much better dual-weapon wielders than blade dancers.

Yes, but you miss the point. I want to play a blade dancer. The two-weapon fighting isn't something I must have, I guess. I was thinking about using a bladedancer's fast movement with something like spring attack and a scout's skirmish ability. Then it would just be a single longsword or maybe a thinblade.

But I really would like to use all 10 levels of blade dancer. Something like Scout 7/ Fighter 2/ Sorceror 1/ Bladedancer 10?
