| nice2meetU04-24-05, 09:22 AM | havent seen this combination so far (im talkin 3.0): gettin in bladesinger with 3lvl rogue (like 2 ftr 2 sorc 3 rog) bladesinger up to level 6 obtaining song of celerity: in each full attack action: 1 free bladesinger spell, as well as 4th spell level (dimension door) using dimension door and 2d6 sneak as prerequisites for teflammar shadowlord, raising this prc up to 4th: shadow pounce (after any teleportation: full-attack action) now the combo (quite obvious): using a full attack action and teleporting after that one with dimension door to the next foe (or behind the one just attacked) with one of the bladesinger's dimesnion door spells. repeating until either your 4th level slots are plain, or your foes lie in their own blood. afterwards raising bladesinger further for additional 4th level spell-slots, buying multiple rings of wizardry, pearls of power etc. and kickin ass in a single round, hopping from place to place. my group hasnt reckognized it so far, and calls me insane for 7 lvls prereq for bladesinger. as well as they said, it would be okay if my elf is from thesk :D |
| Otto the Bugbear04-24-05, 09:40 AM | It was first used when Unapproachable East was released. In fact, both the Bladesinger Shadowlord and the Bladesinger Nar Demonbinder were brought up pretty quickly. These were back when the Races of Faerun bladesinger was the latest and greatest. The Demonbinder one in particular was kinda neat thanks to the old bladesinger being able to cast free action spells 1/round. 8th level arcane spells as a free action was pretty sweet. The newest bladesinger kinda blows, so nobody around here does much with it. Since you're talking 3.0, that doesn't matter much. With the right PrCs, you may even be able to get some more sneak attack damage. It's certainly a great idea and one that works pretty dang good. The biggest drawback is the loss of BAB, but that's not insurmountable. Cheers Otto :) |

Anyway, there are a number of ways to qualify super-fast, and it really depends on what books you can use. Assassin is a good one if you can be evil, and fits pretty well with Shadowlord. Rogue 3/Fighter 2/Assassin 1/Bladesinger 6 gets ya 3d6 SAD. |
| TerrickTerran04-24-05, 12:10 PM | Wasn't Races of Faerun 3.0? Towards the end of 3.0, but I'm fairly certain it was 3.0. |
| Otto the Bugbear04-24-05, 12:34 PM | Indeed. RoF released 3-3-03, PHB 3.5 released 7-18-03 Cheers Otto :) |
| rilem04-24-05, 02:43 PM | Unless I'm mistaken, the RoF fine print at the start of the book states that it's 3.5 Kosher. It's plainly not 100 percent compatible but I believe it's intended as a 3.5 product. |

In fact, many places it lists specific changes that have been or should be made if you are playing 3.5e. |
