I'm planning on Optimizing a Cleric for healing and Ranged attack since the party has two tanks already. I'm planning on taking the Initiate Feat from Races of Destiny "Radiant Fire" which gives me Scorching Ray.

Human Cleric of Pelor, Sun, Strength (for buffing others)

Elite Array:
Str 8
Dex 12
Con 13+1 (Belt of vitality +1)
Wis 15+1 (level)
Int 10
Cha 14

Cleric 1: Extra Turning, Reach Spell, Flaw(-1 to AC), Divine Metamagic(Reach)
Cleric 3: Radiant Fire
Cleric 6: Leadership
Radiant Servant 7 ?

Not sure where to go from here. In fact, i thin kthe desire to be able to cast 3 ranged heals is killing me. Help?

Well, you won't be able to use the main feature of the RSoP, since you don't have the Healing domain. As long as your DM says otherwise, or that sits OK with you, that's fine.

Do you mean Augmented Healing? Doesn't that apply to any spell in the healing domain, rather than spells cast as the domain ability? So Cures/Heal will still get augmented, won't they?

I'm VERY open to suggestions for this build. Really all I'm focused on is the Blasting aspect. I'm not really attached to anything else. But I need to decide soon.

Well, there's two ways to interpret this... The text is:

"...casts a domain spell from the Healing domain, that spell is affected..."

The possible interpretations are...

1. Casting a spell that is on the Healing Domain list being affected.
2. Casting a spell from one's domain allotment (per level) of Healing being affected.

In case #1, it's simply any spell present in the Healing Domain.

In case #2, it's a situation where only the memorized Domain (+d) spell itself is amplified. This is taken from a very strict interpretation of "casts a domain spell" referring to the caster's domain allotment, as opposed to it referring to "from the Healing Domain" following.

Personally, I think Interpretation #1 is by far the most widely accepted, as nowhere within the RSoP does it state that Healing is a required Domain - but in fact the Sun Domain is required.

I'm pretty sure #2 is the one that we assume to be correct. Either way, the DM needs to clarify it.
