Playing a campaign where all party members are good. Had a lot of fun playing cleric3/wiz3/mystic theurge4 with lots of feats from BoED. I was the primary healer and spell caster.

Last session a bunch of the PC's farmed so creating a new character. Looking for suggestions for keeping my offensive capabilities (wands of purified, enpowered sonic fireballs and lightning bolts) while offering party better healing. Any suggestions? How about healer/warmage/MT? No FR material.

I generally shy away from healer in anything; it's just too weak. I also shy away from warmage, it's stronger, but limited. A cleric/warmage might work okay, or a straight cleric with the right domains and the domain spontanaeity feat from complete divine.

...Actually, does your DM allow any third-party material? The Advanced Player's Guide by green ronin has a class called the eldritch weaver that might work well for circumstances like this.

There's also the option of playing a druid and taking the spontaneous healer feat from complete divine.

Oh, and here's a free trick you may or may not already know: Energy substituation (electricity) and born of the three thunders is a NASTY combo of metamagic feats, particularly since neither of them adds to the spell's level. If you're fighting something that's NOT immune to electricity, there's no reason not to use both on a sizeable number of your damaging spells. An electrical three thunders fireball, for instance, is devastating. The combination of it doing half electricity & half sonic damage is potent enough, but the saves vs. being knocked prone & stunned are where it's really at. Add to chain lightning for even more fun.

As far as exalted feats, be careful with vow of poverty. Nowhere on the list of allowable posessions does it mention a holy symbol, which means divine spellcasters are limited to spells that don't have a divine focus requirement, and that REALLY limits your choices.

Hi thanks for reply. Hmmm is the Born of Three Thunders feat that great if you lose one full round of actions after you cast it?
