I was reading over the Bless Weapon description and I noticed this
The weapon also becomes good...(This effect overrides and suppresses any other alignment the weapon might have.)

The practical upshot of this is that it's okay for your paladin to wield the ultra-evil intelligent weapon of the Dark God, as long as he casts Bless Weapon first. BTW, no save, no SR.

Blessed marrow-crushing, vile damage, life draining sword?

It overrides the alignment, but it doesn't say anything about removing the enchantment altogether. A paladin wielding a blessed unholy bastard sword would still take the negative level, but the sword would defeat good DR.

This can also take some of the sting out of evilly aligned weapons being used against you...particularly if you have DR/evil.

No, causing vile damage is still an evil act, even if the sword is now good. Weapon enchantments are separate from the alignment of a weapon. Even the enchantments of holy and unholy are separate from the alignment of the weapon, although the creator has to be a certain alignment.
