| giesy107-22-04, 06:55 PM | Making a cleric of Fharlanghn for upcoming campaign. Looking for any advice. My main concern is a PrC. I realize one isnt needed, but some rules-added flavor wouldnt be bad, but I really can't find one thats a good fit. Basic concept is a man blessed with an incredible wanderlust, hes had no formal clerical training and his relationship with his god is on more "buddy-buddy" terms than "deity-servant". Fharlanghn sees the cleric as a kindred spirit and has blessed him with divine power accordingly. I've decided on using a quarterstaff, dual-wielding the two ends. I also don't want to lose any clerical casting progression unless its really worth the effort and would fit the character well. So far.... Lvl 8 Cleric Str 16 Dex 14 Con 16 Int 12 Wis 18 Cha 8 For domains I've taken Celerity and Travel. Two-Weapon fighting is necessary as a feat. |

Especially when your Cleric of Fharlanghn can be Power Attacking with a Spikes-clad Quarterstaff with a lesser investment in feats and resources. What level are you starting at? Your stats could use a re-arrangement as well, depending on if turning doesn't mean anything to you ... or if meta-augmented Divine Power is not an option either. XO, Snow :cloud9: |

| giesy107-22-04, 08:10 PM | I was planning on using spikes everyday, Having it last the majority of the day. Power attack does seem more beneficial than dual-weapon fighting. I shall look into that. I am at level 8 by the way. Most books are available, except Faerun handbook and Unapproachable east. |
| Blade271807-22-04, 08:14 PM | I should have clarified further, but by "not availible" do you mean "banned" or "not easily accessible"? Two different things altogether. |
| giesy107-22-04, 08:23 PM | We don't have any banned books, those two are just unavailable. I'd say most 3rd party stuff would be frowned upon however. |
| Blade271807-22-04, 09:48 PM | Then maybe you can browse your favorite local gaming store for Player's Guide to Faerun to get the update on the Divine Disciple. That would be pretty good for you; at 4th level, you get a new domain from Fharlanghn's availible ones. Advances clerical casting, and other miscellaneous stuff. If you can peddle him an altered version of the Faiths and Pantheons Windwalker, that'll be the kicker- full BAB AND clerical casting, along with amazing goodies and good skills. |
