| IvanVlad10-04-06, 06:24 PM | Okay, I need some advice for a blind character template or maybe a link if wizard or somebody has already made one. |
| Meek10-04-06, 06:38 PM | What my DM did is have the character born blind, meaning only a miracle or wish could fix it. Other than that there's really no way to "add" permenant blindness to a character mechanically. |
| Ivarrius10-04-06, 07:32 PM | Blindness/Deafness is permanent. |
| Meek10-04-06, 08:27 PM | Blindness/Deafness is permanent. That's not really "adding" it though, in the way he asked. That's being afflicted by a spell. Though it works, it's also easily removable, which might be weird if the point of the character is to make being blind cool. |
| Ivarrius10-04-06, 08:30 PM | Easy enough to say he was stricken with blindness from what he believed was a traumatic event, or from a blow to the head, but was affected by the spell unknowingly, perhaps as he was unconscious. That said, if the character was the only one left to witness the spell, but for obvious reasons, unable to say whether it was magical or not, who is to say exactly what caused it, and what could be done to fix it. Just cuz it is easy to remove, doesnt mean it can't be worked out in a role playing fashion. I have just never heard of a Blind Template, and I knew that spell was permanent. My 2 cp. |
