raphillips 04-08-04, 02:25 AM	I am in the process of making a Sun Elf Wizard 13th level for an existing campaign (my mystic theurge died and is not being resurrected) with the following general build: Lv 5 Wizard Diviner (barred school necromancy) Lv 4 harper mage Lv 4 War Wizard of Cormyr I took leadership and plan on using a blink dog as my cohort. Free action dimension door once per round as cast by an 8th level caster means up to 4 medium sized creatures that are willing and touching can dimension door up to 720 ft per round with no chance of popping into solid objects. If my thinking is correct I can avoid virtually any LoE spell cast at me if my doggy has not used his dimension door for the round. The possibilities are really endless for offense and defense but wanted to get some other points of view. Also looking for magic item possibilities to give him a little more punch in combat ;)
Maarten 04-08-04, 02:36 AM	Originally found in the 3.5 Monster Manual on page 28 Dimension Door (Su) : A blink dog can teleport, as dimension door (caster lvl 8th), once per round as a free action. This ability affects only the blink dog, which never appears within a solid object and can act immediately after teleporting. (Emphasis mine) Nice try though.

guarnasco 04-08-04, 09:35 PM	Well, seems that our blinking doggie has no need of the shadowlords 'cause he already has theyr best feature, the shadow pounce. I guess he could ave a good use of any feature that allows casting a spell AFTER a full attac action...
Qaetar 04-08-04, 10:32 PM	Isn't there a MiniHB spellcaster class that allows you to cast while Full Attack'ing? Why not have the BD take Natural Spell and advance in that class... (Qaetar)
