Johny_Favourite 09-12-06, 07:51 AM	Hey there, In a up coming game I will be playing a Maug Fighter (Fiend Folio). We're starting at level 6, so thats a level 1 fighter maug. Full Plate and a Cold Iron Greatsword is all were starting off with but we get to loot the blood war's battlefields. So far going straight fighter. A 32 point buy Str 28 Dex 18 Con - Int 14 Wis 10 Cha 12 I think that was the spread but I'll check later and edit if wrong. More or less it will be a short campaign and rather bloody with a level up every session. I'm thinking so far the power attack route with bull rushing goodness. Feats so far are, Power Attack, Cleave (for the hordes of zombies) and Combat Reflexes. Fetas I was thinking of taking are, Leap attack, Improved Bull Rush, Shock Trooper, Knockback and Brute Fighting. Any sugestions would be taken under consideration. All books are fair game. Xeraph 09-12-06, 08:01 AM	Use a Jovar (Exoanded Planar Handbook something), its vastly superior to the greatsword or most other weapons actually. Combat Reflexes screams Reach weapon... Scorpion Chain (Races of Eberron) hmm? Or go Greatscimitar and Uncanny Blow from Exotic Weapon Master (CW). Maug Disciple of Dispator (Book of Vile Darkness) doesnt seem to far fetched actually... Hmm, no con score? Improved Toughness would be nice. Maug 5/ Feat Rogue 2/ Fighter 2/ Exotic Weapon Master 1/ Disciple of Dispator 10 Well, just some thoughts...

Yep improved toughness would be lovely, its the toss up between damaging and being damaged. Hopefully we'll get an artificer in the group. Not a fan of eating up a feat with exotic weapons, but jovar is tempting, though i'm not planing on a crit monkey. Whats the Disciple of Dispator class do just curious, BoVD is at home at the moment?
Xeraph 09-12-06, 08:36 AM	Its a martial beast! It triples you potential threat range with weapons and gives you alot of other great bonuses and abilities. Great saves, skills, base attack and hit dice. It is a grinding machine, but you have to be a disciple of Dispater... I can easily see a Maug being that, especially in a campaign set to destroy the Abyss.
