| Werrwaaa02-07-06, 02:16 PM | So here is my concept. The various Deformity and Aberrant feats can be taken together to make some pretty freaky looking characters. So what I want to do is build a human fighter who takes a bunch of these feats. I want to be human so I can take Willing Deformity and Aberrant Blood at first level. And I want to play a fighter so I can spend my bonus feats on something more combat oriented. Also note this is for Eberron, so I may use the variant on the WotC site that lets me substitute Aberrant Blood for Aberrant Dragonmark. So here are my questions. What feats would be best to take with the Fighter Bonus feats? For my first two free feats after Aberrant and Deformity, I think I am going to take Elongated Reach and Deformity (Tall) to extend my reach by 10ft. With that, I think some feats that take advantage of Attacks of Opportunity would be best. If I take Aberrant Dragonmark instead, which spell should I choose? Throw some ideas at me guys! |

It might actually be worth considering changeling rather than human - a few levels of warshaper could give you a number of nice bonuses, including another 5 ft. of reach. Whirlwind might also be an option with a suitably pumped-up reach if you can get a decent bit of bonus damage on your attacks. |
| Werrwaaa02-08-06, 12:29 PM | Okay, so here is the idea so far. Human Ftr 1 - Willing Deformity, Aberrant Dragonmark (what spell?), Combat Reflexes Ftr 2 - Power Attack Ftr 3 - Deformity (Tall) Ftr 4 - Cleave Ftr 5 Ftr 6 - Elongated Reach, Great Cleave That's all i've thought about so far. This character will be a Cohort for my Dread Necromancer. I was thinkning of dropping the two Aberrant feats and picking up Deformity (Teeth) and Deformity (Tounge) earlier. Also, I considered Tomb Tainted Soul, but i think he will be made undead soon enough. Also, thinking of getting Improved Sunder so he can go into Black Guard. Let me know what you think! Again, not trying to me a munchkin, but just make the idea a viable one. Thanks! If I go with my own changes, it will look something like this: Human Ftr 1 - Willing Deformity, Deformity (Tall), Combat Reflexes Ftr 2 - Power Attack Ftr 3 - Deformity (Teeth) Ftr 4 - Cleave Ftr 5 Ftr 6 - Deformity (Tounge), Improved Sunder Then into Black Guard until he goes back to Fighter. |

And the Magic of Eberron brings up a class that makes your character modify his body to become more and more like a Warforged, up to the point of becoming a living construct himself and being able to take Warforged feats like Second Slam and Jaws of Death. And since we're talking modifications, don't forget those ever-nifty grafts. |
