What are the best ways to easily boost a multiclassed psion's manifestor level? I like the psionic fist, but the prospect of waiting until ~13th level (11th level with Overchannel) before being able to manifest any of his buffs as a move action just irks me. What other ways are there to boost manifestor level, or, more directly, to get those buffs out there more quickly?

Oh come on, there's got to be some way to do this.

Overchannel + Talented, are among my favorites.
Also, you could translate spellcasting items to their psionic versions, even the ExPH provides a few examples, like the +1 caster level Ioun Stone, to a +1 manifester level, or the orange (I think) that gives you +4 caster level for 10 minutes a day. If you're multiclassing, talk to your DM to convert "Practiced Spellcaster" to "Practiced Manifester", in case you need it.

Just my 2 pesos.

The DM should be careful when allowing psionic character to increase their manifester level. Manifester level, like caster level, is often important for range, damage, # of targets, spell resistance, etc. However, manifester level also does more than caster level - the higher manifester level, the better powers (via augment) a psionic character can manifest. That is why manifester level is much rarer and harder to obtain than caster level.

Yeah, that's true, boosting manifester level can let you net more metapsionic feats and stuff... but you pay for it, unlike spells, where boosting caster level grants you benefits like more damage dice with no consecuences, no higher spell slots, no longer casting times, etc, but if you want to take advantaje of the increased manifester level you have to spend more power points, reducing your ability to manifest other powers later... so, that's kinda a drawback to compensate.

Hm, so there's nothing in the RAW about an actual Practiced Manifester-ish feat, other than Overchannel? The main reason I'm asking this is it seems that PrCs like Warmind, Psionic Fist etc which grant psychic warrior powers (eg. mainly buffs) will be decidedly weak for the first five or so levels due to durations and inability to augment properly.

If your main concern is raising your limit to DS everywhere, then look at the torc of power preservation (XPH) and Earth Power (RoS). That is about it.

Isn't there also some item which reduces the cost to manifest powers from a certain discipline by 1?

I believe you are thinking of the psionatrix. That raises the DC of powers you manifest from a discipline by 1.
