| sam50007-04-06, 04:21 AM | Hey Guys, I've got 2 questions: 1. Is there a feat that allows one to do something similar to power attack with a bow? 2. Are there any feat combinations, PC, races that makes an archer keep up with the damage dealing potential of a melee fighter? Cheers, Sam |

| Goldenbraid07-04-06, 11:42 AM | Ranged power attack: The Peerless Archer I think have it (Silver Marches, supplement of Forgotten Realms, 3.0 edition material) Its an ability named Power Shot or something like that Feats and all that: A very typical build is the "cleric archer" who buffs himself with persistent spells and fix their base attack bonuses and a lot of other stuff. The best builds youll find include lvls from Ranger, Fighter, Peerless Archer, Deepwood Sniper (Masters of the Wild, 3.0 ed) and Order of the bow initiate (Complete warrior: the non-broken version, the old one is broken as hell). Its almost always a combination of that. If Order of the bow initiate isnt used then probably 1 lvl form Exotic Weapon Master is. Feats: There are tons of useful feats for an archer. Many of them arent used for dealing pure and raw damage but for not hitting your friends or ignoring cover/concealment like Improved Precise Shot Hope this helps. |
