I'm thinking of playing a mindbender in an upcoming campaign where we start at level one. Currently i am unsure as to if the DM will allow me to play a warlock, but i am considering it. i plan on being(at level 20) a Rogue 2/ Warlock or Sorcerer 8/ Mind bender 10. This would start at first as a Rogue, then one in the caster another in rogue and then caster until i can make the PrC, then PrC it to 10th level and finish with caster. I'm planning on a human and taking able learner (so my skill stuff works smoother) and craven (for a boost to my meager SA) as my feats at first level. If i take sorcerer i may go for draconic heritige for a feat or two, but i don't know how good they are. Spellwise i'm thinking the orb spells, invisibility and charm/suggestion type enchatment spells.

If i do go warlock beguiling influence, see the unseen, walk unseen and charm all seem like good choices, but from their i don't know where to go

Any suggestions on this?

Unless you need the Trapfinding, I might use Human Paragon instead of Rogue - lose fewer caster levels.

Honestly one of the primary skill for any charm based character is Diplomacy I'd go bard.
A Half-Elven Racial Bard is very nice. And if you take the feat that changes synergy bonuses to +3 then you can have an easy +9 at lvl 2 from Synergy alone to Diplomacy. A high Charisma helps with you Spell DC's and You get bardic music to boost your (willing) helpers. I had a lvl 8 bard with a 27 to his diplomacy and that was not fully min/maxed. So you can do some nice stuff with the half-elf racial bard. (Races of Destiny Book) Sp?

I made a charecter with the plan of going into mindbender as well, starting at level 1.

My plan was a little different though. I started off as a specialty enchanter (Unearthed Arcana), using both the variants for class skill lists (gives you most of the charisma based skills as class skills instead of wizard bonus feats) and getting a cohort at level 5 (instead of getting a familiar). That took care of the skill requirements.

My build will look something like this:

Wizard 1: Improved Initiative, Insightful Reflexes (use your int bonus rather then dex for reflex saves)
Wizard 2
Wizard 3: Craft Wonderous Items (We are in World's Largest Dungeon and I'll be making items for the party while they defend me)
Wizard 4
Wizard 5
Mindbender 1: Extend Spell
Mindbender 2
Mindbender 3
Mindbender 4:
Mindbender 5
Mindbender 6
Mindbender 7: Persistent Spell
Mindbender 8
Mindbender 9
Mindbender 10:

I just haven't figured out a way to go from there. By 20th, I was hoping to figure out a way to still get 9th level spells, and don't know what feats to take at 9th and 15th. Any ideas?
