| Amphetryon09-07-05, 10:58 PM | This is intended to be a recurring foil for the party I'm running through Kingdoms of Kalamar, until they realize they're chasing someone who isn't as mean and nasty as they'd originally been led to believe.... Allowed books for the players are any Kalamar source material, the PH, DMG, and XPH. I'm limiting this recurring foil in the same way. Fair's fair. CG Half-Hobgoblin Brigand [KoK] 4/Wilder [XPH] 4/Elocator [XPH]1. STR 11 DEX 14 CON 15 INT 13 WIS 15 CHA 17 + Cloak+2 = 19 Feats: Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Aligned Attack [XPH] Skills of note: 5+ ranks in Bluff, Hide, Intimidate, Move Silently, Concentration, Psicraft, and Listen. What's written above is set in stone. What I'm looking for are ways to optimise his remaining levels with Feats and Equipment as well as future PrCs and Psionic abilities (which are not yet set in stone and therefore entirely mutable). For example, is there a good jumping off point from Elocator by board consensus? |
| cvazi09-08-05, 08:26 AM | I do not have KoK. What is the brigand class? |
| Ravashack09-08-05, 04:21 PM | Given the likelyhood of the brigand not providing manifester levels that would stack with the Wilder, I'm guessing it's safe to say that you really don't care about getting 9th level powers. In which case, there's no point to breaking off of Elocator early. You may as well go all the way. |
| carnivore09-08-05, 04:38 PM | for Elocator....i recomend always staying in till 6th and leaving no later than 7th lvl.........this way you only lose 2 manifester lvls and 2 points of BAB, but get 2 free powers(at lower lvls than normal), great movement abilities, great skills for your build....try this, get rid of the feat "Aligned Attack" and sub with this: Cloak Dance [General] You are skilled at using optical tricks to make yourself seem to be where you are not. Prerequisites Hide 10 ranks, Perform (dance) 2 ranks. Benefit You can take a move action to obscure your exact position. Until your next turn, you have concealment. Alternatively, you can take a full-round action to entirely obscure your exact position. Until your next action, you have total concealment. :D |
| Amphetryon09-08-05, 07:40 PM | I do not have KoK. What is the brigand class? It's a D8 Scout type. By 4th level it gets +4 Bluff, 1d6 Sneak Attack, Evasion, Uncanny Dodge (Dex Bonus to AC), and a Gaze attack of sorts that causes a single target that fails a DC 10 + CHA mod Will save to be at -2 on attacks, weapon damage, and saves for a round, usable 1/round as a Free Action. Lousy part is 3 + INT Skill points. It also provides (as Ravashak guessed) no manifester levels to stack with Wilder/Elocator. for your build....try this, get rid of the feat "Aligned Attack" and sub with this As I said, I'm not changing the way he's currently set up for Feats and Skill points. Cloak Dance was high on my priority list for next Feat, though. |
