| Maxxx04-26-06, 12:21 PM | In our group we will face a BBEG very soon, we know that he is undead and are planning on how to buff our sole barbarian so that he can take him out as fast as possible. The barbarian already has a +6 enhancement bonus and a +4 insight bonus to strength and is not humanoid, so no enlarge person, and we came up with the following: rage (the spell) for another +2 morale bonus to strength heroism, greater for +4 morale bonus on attack and saves inpsire greatness for +2 competence bonus on attack roll prayer for +1 luck bonus on attack, saves and damage magic weapon for +5 weapon bane (weapon enhancement) for another +2 to-hit Does someone has any other ideas how to improve the offensive side? |
| LogicNinja04-26-06, 12:35 PM | What does your group consist of? i.e. what sources do you have for buffs? |
| Maxxx04-26-06, 02:29 PM | Any spells are available. |

If your BBEG is a caster he could quickly turn this guy around and sic him on you. Some good buffs: 1. Prot. from Evil to block mind control 2. Death Ward to block energy drain, negative levels, etc. 3. Freedom of Movement to get him past Evard's Black Tentacles, etc. 4. True Seeing to get past illusions 5. Air Walk/Fly to get to the BBEG if he's in the air. 6. Sheltered Vitality will protect him from Ray of Enfeeblement/other strength damage. |
| hogarth04-26-06, 02:46 PM | Any spells are available. That's easy then; use Limited Wish every round for an automatic hit. |
| rilem04-26-06, 02:54 PM | Hah! And Polymorph Any Object, of course, into a Firbolg, or a Sun Giant, or a War Troll or whatever you've got handy. |
