| Minotaur11-01-03, 08:46 PM | Going to play a Bugbear in a 4th level game. Stats 17 16 16 13 13 10 Bugbear Str +4, Dex +2, Con +2, Cha -2 Natural Armor +3 Move Silently +4 3 HD Humanoid Primary Ref save 2 Feats I will not start with a class level, but I should have a plan. The stats lend themselves to Melee type ... and that is what I prefer to play anyway. Thinking of going with these stats Str 21 Dex 15 Con 18 Int 13 Wis 16 Cha 8 Thinking of either Barbarian/Fighter or Favored Soul (Mini's Handbook) Ideas/Thoughts? |

| Otto the Bugbear11-01-03, 10:45 PM | Oh, to answer the question... ability alocation looks good. Almost any melee class works good as a bugbear. Personally I'd prefer to go Barbarian up to 2 then Rogue at least to 3 or 4, and ranger for some levels also (up to 3rd to avoid multiclass exp penalties). Actually, with those stats a bugbear monk looks good as well. Things to avoid are any type of primary caster. That being said, don't be afraid to pick up a few levels of a caster class for a little self support. Cleric 2-4 would be a nice touch, with only a 1 point hit to your BAB. I hope it goes well for ya. I know I enjoyed it! Cheers Otto :) |
