I know this is "Character Op" but I'm a DM and want to pick the brains here for something building up in my game.

One of the main story arcs is this:

A group of people are building their dooms-day beast. They are collecting parts of monsters in hopes of combining the abilities into one uber beast.

So, if you could build a Frankenstein what monsters would you pick, and what abilities would you take from them.

"Rules" :
1. There must be a Base monster, all others simply add abilities/traits.

2. You may only take one ability from any one monster. If that monsters ability is tied to a weakness the weakness is also part of the new monster.

3. There is no real limit to the number of beasts you can add to the mix.

4. Try to keep it under a CR 25

5. Keep in mind I'm going to try an use this in a game so please exclude things like pun-pun

Easy example:

Take part of the Tarrasque(dead in my world) and a colossal beast with wings(Dragon perhaps) ... mix ... and get a Tarrasque with wings.

I don't have a suggestion for the specific question, but what about just taking a base creature and stacking templates on it? THere are numerous templates that give new abilities loosely based on other creatures. I can think of a few off hand that appear in the various MM's, like chimeric, feral, etc.

couldn't you take the parts of 2 regenerating creatures and touch them together?

Like a troll with the tarrasque's arms, head, and some of the carpace?
