Running under 3.0 ruleset, I know I have some 3.5 in with this, but any/all instances have been DM approved.

This build is intended to be a front liner for a RttToEE Campaign, so any help that wont be a spoiler will be appreciated.

SoL -Soldier of Light (-D&D-)
DC -Divine Champion (-FRCS-)

ąDM house ruled, he is allowing me to Sub-Tireless for endurance.
Feats in Bold, Looking back on them I am fairly sure there is a better order I can take them in, but I am getting tired and my thinking isn't completely straight right now.

Stats at level one.
15-Str
10-Dex
18-Con
10-Int
12-Wis
15-Cha
Edit: Race is Dwarf BTW, already taken into account in the stats.

I am not to worried about the Wis being only 12, I'll have access to Wish to grant Inherent bonuses as needed later on, to be able to acccess my 3-4th level spells as SoL

My intention is to have someone that can take a lot of abuse. and for the most part I like the build the way it is, but I figured I would throw it out here to be put under the more intense examination of everyone here.

Paladin and Soldier of Light have incompatible alignments (LG vs. NG). Soldier of Light is, in essence, a Neutral Good Paladin.

Builds that presume in-game alignment shifts (I'm a Paladin now, but I think I'll have a change of heart in a few months) are an excellent way to invoke DM wrath. And they're kind of cheesy.

Regardless, I'd like to know your reasons for taking both SoL and Paladin. I may be missing something. What books are available?

The 3 levels of paladin are mostly for the Divine Grace in early levels, Divine Health, edit: detect evil, RttToEE remember? and aura of courage. also, i intended to get Divine might at 4th instead of waiting for 6th, but now I notice that this would be hard considering that its not a fighter bonus feat. (going to be edited acordingly)

As far as books go, pretty much open, Forgotten realms setting, and 3.5 material provided a DM approval basis. so pretty much open game.

If you know of something that works better for the overall SoL Idea, then by all means. but i dont think that the whole 'Fall from grace' thing will be too much of an issue with this DM, we are going to be going in at 4th level, so I can have already 'fallen' with my 1st fighter level.

and I have SoL over paladin mostly as a personal preference. the only reason I dont take it earlier is because I am wanting the Mettle, bonus feat, and DR from the templar first.

You lose all your Palladin abilities if you change your alignment from Lawful Good. Of course, you're getting some of them back with SoL, but I still think you'd be better off just going with one or the other, and not both.

Atonement allows you to regain any lost paladin abilities, but yes I understand what your saying.

Nik- you missed the "personal preference SoL" part didn't you.

Edit: As I have already stated, I am perfectly willing to drop the paladin, just show me something better to put in its place.
Been thinking of marshal myself only problem would be the setback in BAB, and I need to run it by the DM.
