| Timlagor03-13-06, 08:14 AM | Anyone have any thoughts on this? Bear in mind that most of the Feats are Pre-Reqs. 31pb but otherwise LG (Core+Complete+Races with Feat restrictions) Grey Elf Str 12 6 Dex 17 8 Con 12 6 Int 16 6 Wis 9 1 Cha 12 4 All bumps to Dex. 12Cha for the 4 Screams, Grey Elves are just better than normal Elves ;) Lots of skill points to keep Survival, acrobatics and dance up. 1 Ranger 1 Combat Expertise (Track) 2 Ranger 2 (TWF) 3 Swashbuckler1 Dodge (Weapon Finesse) 4 Swashbuckler2 5 Swashbuckler3 (Int to damage) 6 Fighter 1 WF(Longsword) + Mobility <temporary 20% xp penalty> 7 Dervish 1 8 Fighter2 [Mounted Combat] <no xp penalty> 9 CoCL1 [Elusive Target?] + ITWF 10 CoCL2 (Dex to damage) 11 Ranger3 (Endurance) 12 Wild Runner1 GTWF 13 Wild Runner2 (Primal Scream) 14 Dervish 2 15 Dervish 3 ?Feat 16 Dervish 4 17 Dervish 5 18 Dervish 6 ?Feat 19 Dervish 7 20 Dervish 8 |

Still ask you GM to allow you to qualify for CoCL with weapon focus (scimitar) or the dervish ability Slashing Blades to work with longswords otherwise it simply looks plain silly... "I trained to master the use of longswords so I can be deadly with scimitars". Also you can try using the cobra strike monk variant from UA instead fighter. You still get two feats (dodge and mobility), you loose one point of BAB, but you gain - more skills, +3 to Reflex and Will saves, +2 to escape artist (not that you care), unarmed strike (it can come in handy sometimes... does the trip thanks to Elusive Target porovoke AoO if you dont have tripping weapon, improved trip or improved inarmed strike?), wisdom to AC (with that high dex you will fight with no armor I guess) and flurry of blows (get the whirlwing steel strike from Eberron and you can flurry with your longsword if the GM agrees on the Slashing Blades deal). As a last feat Improved Critical is always nice with all that static +damage. |
| Skole Morgenrood03-13-06, 08:38 AM | My friend, I think you've just described the ultimate build to describe the Valenar Elves in Eberron. Of course you'd have to rename the Champion of Corellon Larethian into Champion of the Ancestors or something, and replace longsword with scimitar. But otherwise it suits them perfectly, right down to the Mounted Combat feat. |

| Tweedledope03-13-06, 09:23 AM | Funny, I wonder what happened to the Revenant Blade... ;) It maximized its' power attack and floating feats to make Valenar elves the second most powerful addition to Eberron (Artificer's take #1). -=TD=- |
| PhoenixInferno03-13-06, 11:36 AM | I might look at trading Dervish levels for more Wildrunner levels - Wildrunner can get Pounce as part of its Primal Scream so now you can unleash your full attacks under all circumstances. Useful, but not totally neccessary. |
| Timlagor03-15-06, 12:44 AM | Here's another one (same rules): Str 16 Dex 17 Con 12 Int 13 Wis 9 Cha 10 Ranger 1 PA (Track) Ranger 2 (TWF) Fighter 1 OTWF Combat Expertise Cleric 1 (Weapon Focus) Ranger3 (Endurance) Wild Runner1 Dodge Wild Runner2 (Primal Scream) Fighter 2 ITWF Fighter 3 Mounted Combat CoCL1 Karmic Strike CoCL2 (Dex to damage) Fighter 4 GTWF Improved Bull Rush Wild Runner Wild Runner Wild Runner Shock Trooper Wild Runner (Pounce) ? ? Combat Reflexes ? ? Charge and smack them for 6 attacks at full BAB with loads of damage (full PA) ...then smack them again evey time they hit back. Looking for a way to squeeze Double Hit(MH) in without xp penalty... I suppose I could drop GTWF... Hmm might do better without the TWF on this one... |
| nastynate03-15-06, 12:49 AM | Funny, I wonder what happened to the Revenant Blade... It's been hiding in my sig. After he took those fenzied berserker levels, he got ****** and took the fight back to the giants of Xen'drik. |
| Timlagor03-15-06, 09:24 AM | well Revenant Blade is not availabl. Am I right in thinking that pounce can get you a full attack in a surprise round? |
| Thanatos4203-15-06, 03:31 PM | Reread the dervish dance ability. You can't dance while raging or in a frenzy. Then reread primal scream. It unleashes a frenzy. So it's dance or scream - you can't have both. :weep: |
| Timlagor03-15-06, 03:39 PM | Good point. That makes me feel better about abandoning the Dervish for Pounce ;) |
