Ok, we have a one-nighter coming up. We are allowed any 3.5 WOTC including dragon (only problem is, I don't have any dragon, so ignore that for this), level 9, stats must total 72 before racial, but no stat may be the same before racial. I have most books out there.

I have a build, but feel I might be missing something.

Half-ogre, level 4 Fighter, level 3 Barbarian
Stats before adjust: 18 str, 14 Con, 13 dex, 8 int, 10 wis, 9 cha
Stats after adjustment: 24 str, 16 Con, 11, Dex, 6 int, 10 wis, 7 cha
Add +1 to dex for the 1 level adjust to get it to 12

Feats
Fighter 1: Power Attack (str 13)
Fighter 2: Cleave (str 13, power attack)
Fighter 4: Combat Reflexes

Level 1: Improved bull rush (str 13, power attack)
Level 3: Knockback (improved bull rush, power attack)
Level 6: Shock Trooper (BAB 6, Improved bull rush, power attack)

Equipment (36,000 gp?)
Belt of Giant Strength +4 (16,000)
Large Great Axe +1 (2,000)
Gloves of Dexterity +2 (4,000)
Hat of disguise (1,800) - minimize interaction issues)
+ some stuff?

Basic strategy was to charge into combat, and put Power attack penalty to AC, using knockback to push enemy hopefully back into other enemy to knock them both down and hopefull back outta range. Then, I have 3 attacks of opportunity if anyone moves into my area, and use knockback to keep them away

hmm....would it be good to replace 1 level of barbarian and throw in 1 level of war hulk?

any other good prestige classes?

any ideas on equipment?

what is this for...Arena combat?

would you like any other types(Casters/Manifesters)?

try this:

1/2 Ogre
Ranger 2/ Fighter 2/ PsiWarrior 1/ Barbarian 1/ Frenzied Berserker 1

or

Ranger 1/ Fighter 2/ PsiWarrior 2/ Barbarian 1/ Frenzied Berserker 1

i was avoiding casters, as I have a tendency to always play casters and wanted to play something tough that dished out damage

It is not arena, or I would seriously consider the frenzied bezerker. The game is a one-night hack and slash. So other party memebers, so gotta play nice, and probably some NPC interactions (our group has a hard time not doing any RPing)

I've been toying with a sneaky build:
How about human ninja 2/druid 6/dagger spell shaper *?
Grab quickdraw, cosmopolitan (iaijustu focus), and max out your sleight of hand skill & iaijutsu focus.

Third level get wf(daggar)
Sixth get two weapon fighting
Ninth get Natural Spell

This way, you can go invisible as a swift action, then walk up to your opponent and nick their stuff (DC 20 vs sleight of hand to make that a free action - does it really matter if they notice or not?), then draw and cut them with a dagger (or vice versa if your dm says that sleight of hand means they are no longer flatfooted).

You have wis to AC in whatever form you are in, and if you go onwards with this character, the daggerspell shaper will mean whatever magic you get on your daggers will be usable in wildshape.

Gives you the opportunity to sneak (or spy in animal form), trapfind, heal and attack, and general druidic spellcasting (at three levels below par, so you wont be the parties blaster caster). If you wildshape into an anthromorphic shape, you can still use iaijutsu for your attacks (no good for natural attacks - you must draw a weapon).

There's something terrifying about an invisible large ape suddenly appearing next to you, cutting you for huge damage, and nicking your holy symbol at the same time... ;)

There is a feat that is the similar to practised spellcaster (but for druids) which might help with the non-spell caster levels...

Magic items that should be attainable at your starting wealth: elven cloak & boots, glove of +sleight of hand, scabbard of +iaijutsu focus, and something to help your vision.

EDIT - unless you get dispensation from your dm that sudden strike qualifies you for daggerspell shaper, you need a level of rogue of scout in there as well. Depending on what's more important for you, wis -> AC or evasion, you might prefer two levels of rogue instead, but that nerfs the iai-ghoststep attack...

If you're only going to be playing one night I'd reccomend the following...
Stock up on potions, they're an awesome value / GP because of thier single use nature... BullStrength, Bear's Endurance, Endure Elements, Etc. You should be able to get enough potions to function better than a belt, for less price.
Secondly... I think I'd put one level into a spell casting class, probably sorcerer or cleric just for the ability to use wands... Again, Charged Items = Best Value / GP... Think about the use of 50 Cure Light Wounds after battle! Or 50 Summon Monster X to confuse, distract, and flank for ya... Not to mention Scrolls are awesome too... Polymorph/Rage Combo anyone?! Able Learner + UMD might be able to work as well, but I wouldn't wanna deal with the wasted time of failed checks personally.

Addendum: You Combat Reflexes would be most useful to your strat (knock one guy back and AoO anyone who closes on you) with the additional reach as given by enlarge... Yet another reason to take a spell caster level perhaps?

Consider taking 2 levels of Tribal Protector from Sword & Fist. The Wild Fighting ability you get at 2nd level gives you a free extra attack. It's a 3.0 prestige class... But hasn't been updated for 3.5 so it might be fair game.

Half-ogre is a GREAT idea. :D

Personally, I prefer to play barbarians aggressively... So I wouldn't bother with the Combat Reflexes and AoO strategy.

Why 13 base DEX and 9 CHA instead of 14 & 8?

Also, if you intend to take a caster level, consider cleric with the Magic domain.

Half-elf or Changeling bard, pump everything into Cha, invest in anything to bring up diplomacy and bluff, then focus on charms and enchantments. Purchase ale. Lots of ale. And a chainmail bikini. A scroll of remove disease for the next day is probably a good idea...

... oh wait, I think I misread the question...

It specifically says in Complete Adventurer that sudden strike qualifies you for feats and PrCs that require sneak attack.

The buying of stats was interesting, "stats must total 72 before racial, but no stat may be the same before racial."

therefore, could not put 8 in 2 stats. put 13 in dex, then raised to 14 with level.

btw....

game was played, much fun was had. Had the joy of having one fight on a bridge...knocked a couple off with my knockback. Ended up having a 30 strength with using the +4 belt of giant strength and 1 level of warhulk, that combined with a +2 weapon yielded a +17 damage mod (not including any power attack, as I had to move a lot, I ended up power attacking a lot as I was only getting 1 base attack anyway, power attacked for 6 points (maximum) each time and never missed all night (all rolls are viewed by at least 1 other person) with that pwoer attacking, I was doing 3d6 (large greataxe) + 29 each attack...not bad :D . The synergy of shock trooper and the knockback was excellent, as I was able to knock back my foes into other foes and send them sprawling. The AoO's worked out nicely, as for some reason the enemy considered me a big threat :D
