| Funny Slaughter05-10-04, 07:34 PM | this thread is devoted to collecting abbreviations to fill the section in the build-FAQ. wanted are abbr. :D for - Classes - PrCs (there is the first) - specific terms used in DnD (like AoO, there is the second one, at least if we dont count DnD) if you have a great idea about other sections you are welcome. a) Classes Adp - Adept Arst - Aristocrat Brd: Bard (who needs this one?) | crazysamaritan05-10-04, 09:00 PM | This is probably not what you want, but.. Fairly Unusual Nomination :D That said, you might want to include a few feats under the abbv. such as VoP = Vow of Poverty Or sourcebooks : XPH extreme psionics handbook (I think? ) |
| JosephKell05-10-04, 09:26 PM | EXPANDED Psionics Handbook... Though it is fairly extreme... |
| MoogleEmpMog05-10-04, 09:56 PM | NPC Classes Adp - Adept Arst - Aristocrat (this doesn't look right) Com - Commoner (max that Craft: Basketweaving!) Exp - Expert War - Warrior Ninjas! Nin - Ninja, but it's not clear what ninja is meant. I suggest: RNin - Rokugan Ninja DNin - Dragon Ninja Forgotten Realms: Unapproachable East PrCs NaD - Nar Demonbinder ShD - Shou Disciple (it's what I always use, anyway...) TfS - Teflammar Shadowlord Those are the only common UA ones I can think of. What's Master of the Yuirwood? I've seen that used here. Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed Aks - Akashic Grn - Greenbond Mag - Magister MBl - Mage Blade Oth - Oathsworn Run - Runecaster TWar - Totem Warrior Unf - Unfettered Wch - Witch Wmn - Warmain Monte may have official abbreviations for those, but I'm sure of the warmain. |
| Funny Slaughter05-11-04, 04:54 AM | montes stuff is not included in the FAQ so i dont add these. updated the rest and added a feat- as well as a sourcebook-section, good idea. as for the ninja, i see mostly the rokugan ninja used here so i included this one, can change it if you disagree though. gs Funny |
| dzokvic05-11-04, 11:15 AM | BAB = Base Attack Bonus |
| Aza'lan05-11-04, 12:43 PM | Funny, I know you said don't invent one but instead of Ass for Assassin why not Asn , which I think I've seen in some accessories. Azzy |
| Funny Slaughter05-11-04, 12:46 PM | hey azzy, Asn is probably the right term, thx for input. gs Funny |
| JosephKell05-11-04, 11:03 PM | SR: Spell Resistance PR: Power Resistance DR: Damage Reduction |
| Dracophile05-11-04, 11:11 PM | NW: Nature's Warrior WS: Warshaper ShP: Shiba Protector MW: Mystic Wanderer SF: Sacred Fist "Funny": Funny Slaughter |
| Bond, James Bond05-12-04, 10:22 AM | Hope these are not regarded as too commonly known to be included in the FAQ... DnD-specifics: PC = player character NPC = non player character FR= Forgotten Realms |
| Blue Sky05-19-04, 03:46 PM | Originally posted by Funny Slaughter SR: Damage Reduction Not to nitpick, but shouldn't this be "DR"? |
| Thalis06-22-04, 12:17 AM | SR: Damage Reduction yea, a month later....it's still there. could be confusing. |
| Neb Rybel06-22-04, 12:59 AM | I'll prod Simon the next time he is on. |
