Story behind the character: Had a shifter monk sacrifice herself to destroy the creation pattern and Zulu... turned into a brazier of the Silver Flame. Given to the Drow by another party member therefore started a LG Monastic order of the Silver Flame. Trying to combine a Scorpion fighting style and develop a new character.

LG Drow Monk of the Silver Flame...

Figured taking the Drow Paragon from the UA (3 levels) and with the level adjustment (2 levels) for being a Drow... starting at 3rd Level Monk...

Any ideas on the fighting style or what feats?

I'm currently playing a L/N Dark Elven Monk that hails from a L/E Monastery devoted to the worship of Kiriansalee. It is a DM creation stationed near Skullport (the main area of business).

Why Lawful Neutral?

The Monastery works as a type of "Task Master for Hire" (ahem...mercenary...ahem) temple that imports various instructors to train the headmasters and members of the organization. One of these was a Tattooed Monk hailing from a far Eastern land that taught the importance of Task Centric Focus (among other things). Essentially, putting the needs of the organization before your own.

This guy took my lil monk under his wing and impressed upon him the importance of recognizing the structure and order of the world. He stressed that true perfection is achieved by forgetting "the self" and immersing ones existence towards the progression of the collective goal.

While difficult (He's L/N with evil tendencies), the monk tries to keep perspective and keep focused upon his purpose and his goal...rather than fall victim to ego and selfishness (which ultimately leads to suffering and powerlessness).

Anyway...

The character is focused around the concept of "Hard to Hit...but Hits Hard". Because elves are fragile and non-strength based, I really pumped his feats into developing extremely strong Stunning Fist attacks and variants. I also invested in some basic defensive feats that, combined with his dex and wis, amounts to a rather high AC.

This translates to an investment in feats like Stunning Fist, Weakening Strike, Pain Touch, Freezing the Lifeblood, Extra Stunning, Falling Star Strike, and Rapid Stunning. I'm also taking some levels in Tattooed Monk for the Spider Tattoo (among others). The Sun School tactical feat is also useful if you're planning on staying Core monk the entire time.

--At higher levels, you'll be able to immobilize an opponent for 2 rounds, tack on -6 strength, Blindness, and poison for 4 Con dmg with one flurry. Freezing the Lifeblood is HUGE, as it paralyzes the opponent and allows for a Coup de Grace. The Sun School Tactical feat gives 1d4 rounds of confusion after you've slapped on some nasty modifiers, a free bullrush when using flurry, and the ability to attack after dimension door.

For defensive feats, look at the Dodge/Mobility/Spring Attack tree for some hit and run fun (with a monks MR, it is rather fun). Also take a look at Dodge, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Defensive Strike, Improved Trip, and Defensive Trip. This will create a VERY hard to hit character that can counter trip with some big bonuses.

The Stunning Fist tree is very combative and disabling, but ultimately useless against certain creatures.

The Defensive Tree isn't as exciting, but usefull against almost all creatures.

Good luck, and keep me posted on what you end up doing.

Don't forget the useful White Scorpion Strike from RoE. It'll be difficult, if you don't have an artificer, to get enhancements to your natural weapons. This is a drow only feat that turns your unarmed strikes into ghost touch weapons.
