I thought of making a character built solely on a spell i read in the book of vile darkness. The following spell: Boneblade Necromancy (evil) Level: Blk 2, Clr 3 Components: V, S, F, undead Casting time: 1 action Range: touch Effect: One bone that becomes a blade Duration: 10 minutes / level The caster changes a bone at least 6 inches long into a longsword, shortsword or greatsword. This weapon has a +1 enhancement on att and dmg for every 5 caster levels (minimum +1 max +4) furthermore the blade deals + 1d6 dmg on living targets and an additional +1d6 dmg on good aligned things. The spell confers no proficiency with the weapon. Focus: a 6 inch piece of bone. I was thinking as the dm and trying to make a character out of this that i would make the spell an arcane spell to make it more interesting for character development. Any suggestions or ideas for a character would be helpful id prefer to stay evil and make the best out of this spell in the character build. I was thinking maybe the prestige class warrior of darkness from the book of vile darkness as well. |

Leap Attack + Power Attack will rack up damage, but they're hardly iconic for the build. A two weapon fighting blackguard/cleric comes to mind, using divine metamagic: Quicken to make two weapons in a single round and apply other metamagic feats through more divine metamagic. |

Not only should you do two-weapon fighting, but your off-hander should be the Blade of Pain and Fear spell from Libris Mortis. It's even a persistable spell (Range 0'. Thats fixed.) and has a stacking fear effect! How about something like... Human Fighter 2/Paladin of X 4/Pious Templar 4 to start (X = Tyrrany or Slaughter) 1) Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (longsword), Dodge 2) Mobility 3) True Believer 6) Improved Two-Weapon Fighting 9) Spring Attack 10) Dual Strike Since you and your deity are both evil, Pious Templar uses the Blackguard list for spells! This is serious boogeyman-esque materal. |
