I need some help.

I have a first level archer, we've just started a game. His class is fighter, and has taken feats in precise shot, point blank shot and persuasion. due to the adventure, from here on out I'd like to increase his abilitiy to fight unarmed. Staying within his own class, what feats or other help can i give my character to best maximize his unarmed combat abilities.

thanks a lot.

So you want to stay fighter?

Hmmm... Improved Grapple, Improved Bullrush and get eagle claw attack (unarmed sunder).

But as an unarmed fighter you should realy do Monk Levels... at latest after fighter 2...

Unfortunately, straight Fighters aren't that great at unarmed attacks, though you might try to go the grapple route.
Some feats that will help:
Improved Unarmed Strike (PHB)
Improved Grapple (PHB)
Defensive Throw (Complete Warrior)
Earth's Embrace (Complete Warrior)
Flying Kick (Complete Warrior)

Just take 2 levels of Monk. Problem solved. Any more monk after that isn't really going to pay dividends unless you are willing to abandon your current concept and take lots of Monk levels.
