Builds needed. (Incarnum Related) [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-11-06, 12:29 PM Hello Everyone. I'm designing a cohort for an undead adventure. I just got Magic of Incarnum and my DM got it too, and I'm trying to soften him into letting me take an Incarnum cohort, or let my current character take Incarnate, because I love the system so much.

Okay, my original plan for my character was a trip-gish. Since we have a limit on the money we can spend (if a character spends 100,000 during the whole campaign, we have to fight the shopkeeper, who is like CR40), I thought Incarnum would be a good idea. My original build was Fighter2/Wiz4/Spellsword1/EldritchKnight9/Spellsword+4 but now, I'm looking to see if an Incarnate Gish is possible. So far, I only have the Fighter2 part down. My stats are Str 16, Con 14, Dex 14, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 10. I never planned on using stuff with saving throws in my original build and I don't with this one, just buffs, movement tricks and the like. I'll be bumping Con every level if this is possible. My alignment is Chaotic Neutral. My entire role in the party is just tripping things and between Jotunbrud and Improved Trip I do that well enough, so I don't mind if it ends up suboptimal, I just want to play around with Incarnum :D

If that isn't possible, I would like then to make an Incarnum cohort, probably Cleric/Incarnate for that one PrC. However, the cleric has to be chaotic neutral, since my Cha isn't impressive and I don't want a low-level cohort.

So what I'm asking for is builds, possible feats, good soulmelds, etc. I'm fairly new to the system so please be gentle with me :embarrass

This will be impossible, as the PrC your thinking of: Sapphire Heriarch, can only be taken by Lawful characters.

I actually have a Cleric/Incarnate build I'm currently making right now, as luck would have it, but he has to be Lawful Neutral, so if you want him, I'll post him after work.

I actually have a Cleric/Incarnate build I'm currently making right now, as luck would have it, but he has to be Lawful Neutral, so if you want him, I'll post him after work.

My DM might let me adapt it. Otherwise, I'll just take another Incarnate Gish, for double the tripping pain. Thanks for enlightening me, wow I need to read the book more thoroughly :eek:
