The tile is a bit misleading, but I was building an antimagic collar fighter and obviously the ideal situation would be for my magic items to still be effective in the field. I know artifacts function in an antimagic field, but I can't exactly just go buy an artifact. Is there any form of antimagic field-proof item that does not require DM fiat to gain?

For the cost of +2,000 GP per item, you can make them immune to an AMF. All you have to do is make them into intelligent items, which are thereafter considered constructs instead of items, and are subsequently immune to the effects of an anti-magic field. You still won't be able to use potions, wands, and staffs, though, but if your enemies can't use any magic on you, I have a feeling you won't need them.

Antimagic field says it supresses the supernatural and spell-like abilities of the creatures while they are in its radius, which would seem to supress the benefits of the items, even if they were intelligent.

Well, yes, but you'd have the pleasure of listening to your boots whine and complain about how you're mistreating them by being in the AMF in the first place. ;)
