By Level 3? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-18-06, 06:52 PM So I was wondering, At level 3 w/ access to 3.5 PHB, MMI, and MMIII ( not two) the DMG, Complete Series, the Draconomicon, Libris Mortis, Savage Species, Eberron Campaign Setting, and races of stone. What is the most optimized character you can come up with? You are reaching the level were you are gearing taking up a PrC but most are still out of reach.
What brings this up is I am going to Run a 3.5 Cut throat style of game were the party has to work with and against one another to accomplish a goal, the last one standing who completes the goal will get a bonus level for the next game i am running with the group. So i am just wondering if my players play smart what are some nasty things i should prepare against.

Oh yeah and 32 point buy system and standard starting gold for level 3

Talented, Overchannel, Boost Construct, Psychic Meditation (The bonus PP one). AC III with a bonus menu choice. Mithril chainshirt and darkwood shield for a decent AC.

Wood Elf Ranger 2/Fighter 1
Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot (B) Precise Shot. With a masterwork mighty composite longbow, and the long distance kerthudding. Add scrolls of hunter's mercy for the sickness.

Human Swashbuckler 1/Fighter 2.
EWP: Spiked Chain, Combat Reflexes, Weapon Finesse(B), Aberrant Blood, Aberrant: Extended Arms. 20 foot danger zone.

Warforged Barbarian 1/Fighter 2 (Warforged sub on lvl 2, not level 1)
Adamantine Body, Increased Fortification, Deep Rage, Power Attack.

I was thinking if i was going to make something i would go
Halfing Rogue2/ftr1
Grab Weapon focus, and dodge, put skill points into Sneak and get potions of invisablity for sneaking and Jabbing :)
