Hey, I'm currently playing a CG six level human enchanter. I am considering taking levels in effigy master and archmage. However, I have a few questions first.

1) Is it worth it to take all five levels in effigy master?

2) Are there any other classes that might be an interesting addition? The basic character concept is a human enchanter who, after a falling out with his mentor, took to adventuring with the desire to effectively study and experience human (and humanoid) life. This will lead to his interest in recreating (or mimicking) life (i.e. the Effigy master class). In most cases he prefers to rely on his magic to avoid ad prevent the loss of life regardless of who he is fighting (or encountering). Even when combat is unavoidable, when encountering humanoids he resorts to using the non-lethal damage substitution feat (when he can). He will be a rather unusual effigy master given the fact that he is neither an illusionist nor does he have the ability to cast illusion spells at all.

Effigies are pretty bad. Definitely not worth taking class levels in it just to make slightly better ones (and lose a caster level in the process).

for an enchanter i would like to suggest the fate spinner from complete arcane, it is really good and its prereqs are pretty easy
