devilgoat 05-11-04, 05:14 AM	I figure my cleric can take SOUTHERN MAGICIAN feat to cast DIVINE spells as ARCANE spells Incantrix states that the pc must be able to cast 3rd level ARCANE spells in version 3.0 Is this good enough to qualify for it?
catharz 05-11-04, 05:26 AM	Theoretically, you would qualify for it. However, you woulden't be able to advance your spellcasting with it. In addition, people seem much happyer when you ignore that Southern magician even exists. Come to think of it, I'm really suprised they didn't update it in PGtF, to clear up it's many issues. I guess they weren't concerned about Min/Maxes that even most munchkins didn't want to use.
devilgoat 05-11-04, 05:44 AM	yes u can advance because the incantrix says u gain 1 lvl of whatever spellcasting class u had each lvl IT ALSO says u get specialisation in abjuration.. does that work for a cleric??
Funny Slaughter 05-11-04, 06:20 AM	southern magician does not alter the source of the magic, it just behave in another way. after long discussions it was clarified by the designers, i dont have a source atm but maybe you find one via search thus it can not be used to qualify for spellcasting requirements. gs Funny

Yes, they have stated that the spells a Cleric casts through Anyspell are Divine Spells. Note that this ruling allows one to cast a Lightningbolt as a divine spell, and can thus qualify for Hexer (MotW) [this requires Greater Anyspell]
devilgoat 05-12-04, 11:02 AM	ok i wanted to do cleric 5 incantrix 10 heirophant 5 cleric 5 Epic incantrix but if i can't take incantrix is there another epic PRC that gets feats every 3 lvls ? Maybe loremaster urghhh Epic Hexer is cool but bonus feats only every 4th lvl.
