I have seen that the AC of all creatures is 10+Dex+Armor+...etc. The "10" represents the average effort made to protect one`s self from harm, and the DMG mentions a variant about defence rolls, where the defender rolls the D20 in place of the 10. However, Greater Deities always recieve the best possible result, so, shouldn`t their AC be calculated like 20+Dex+...etc? I think it is possible to accept this, is it not? But again, this wil give all Greater Deities a free +10 bonus to AC...
Any opinions?

Considering the power greater deities already have, there's nothing unbalancing to give them this...

It hardly adds another CR for them anyways

Its technically your game so you can do what you want to with your gods.

Personally i've reworked all the gods so they can make use of Epic materials and what not. Just doing that makes them a couple of orders of magnitude more powerful than the ones WotC has created. At that point you can pretty much drop the Auto 20 rule and they wont really suffer any ill effects from it.

If you're using the variant, then they get free AC. Does it really matter anyway? If you're fighting a deity then there's something wrong.

I agree. If youre using the defense roll variant, the greater dieties will benefit from their maximized roll. If youre not using the variant, just leave it at base 10.

I am okay with assuming that no matter the die roll, you automatically miss and the deity automatically hits. His attack automatically does enough damage to reduce you to -10 hit points and all attempts to return you to life automatically fail; exception being those attempts of the deity that killed you. The deity can return you to life against your will and do with you as it pleases. After all, you truly thought you could kill a deity, your soul is, rightfully, forfeit.
