alliance of lolth and vecna [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-08-07, 01:51 AM in my campaign, the current story line is the over world is at war with the drow and the underdark(again) and the underdark are putting up a good fight this time around.
i wanted to have the drow come across an artifact to give them the power to fight back. i was thinking the hand and eye of vecna.

would there be any motive at all for lolth and vecna to work together?

(if any one has any other suggestions for an artifact i could use please tell me)

04-08-07, 06:39 AM They both weave webs of lies? Vecna (lord of secrets) is blackmailing Lolth? Lolth just finds the Hand and the Eye and Vecna is too weak to take them back? (I'm pretty sure Lolth has a higher DvR)

04-08-07, 06:45 AM It could be mutual abuse, Lolth is using Vecna for his web of informants and is using the info to spread chaos, Vecna is using Lolth to get acess to lost (to him) Drow documentation and information. They are not helping each other, they are ignoring that they are abusing each other.
