Any gods with the Spiked Chain as a favored weapon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-17-07, 06:53 AM I hope this is the right Forum for this question. Are their any Gods with the Spiked Chain as a Favored Weapon? If not, can my character not worship a specific god and have it as one?

07-17-07, 02:34 PM I'm assuming that you want to play a cleric with the War domain, correct? Outside of Kossuth, as Fabius mentioned, no deities spring to mind as spiked chain weilders. However, if you're playing in Eberron, you can indded be a "cleric of self" and just pick two domains and use whatever weapon you want.

As an aside, I once played a cleric on Mystra with a spiked chain and spiked full plate. The only reason my DM let it slide was because in his backstory, all the barbs and spikes on his chain and armor were attached shurikens, Mystra's favored weapon :D

Greyhawk has a god of wave motions whose favoured weapon is a spiked chain. If you can get ahold of the LG Gazetteer (or the LG deity document) you could probably find it.
