| rivaltuna11-04-07, 02:54 PM | So who would win in a fight? Boccob or Nerull? I think it would be pretty close if you go by the D&DG book. Look at Boccob's list of spells, he can cast like level 30 spells 10 times a day. In contrast, look at Nerull's death domain, and Lifecutter. That scythe is the single sweetest thing I've ever seen in any splat book ever. So, with full use of their abilities, fighting on the astral plane, under a "no plane shift/teleport" rule, who would win? I say Nerull. |
| Fly666monkey11-04-07, 05:13 PM | boccob ,because while lifecutter is sweet, it's a brilliant energy weapon, and, correct me if i'm wrong, but brilliant energy weapons can't hurt outsiders. |

| SokenzanMarauder11-04-07, 05:17 PM | I'm throwing my chips in for Boccob, simply because he embodies the 'suave mage' archetype. He's easily my favorite of all the 'core' deities. Not to mention the fact that he knows every spell in existence. |
| Shemeska the Marauder11-04-07, 08:07 PM | "I don't know who'd win such a WWF'esque fight, but I do know one thing: I'll gladly organize the event and handle the betting for a small percentage of course. Whoever wins, so do I." http://arcanofox.foxpaws.net/shemmywink.gif |
| DwarfPcfan11-05-07, 03:01 PM | I'd put my money on Boccob beating the crap out of Nerull without breaking a sweat. Why? Because Nerull is the god of death and necromancy while Boccob is the Archmage of the deities. Necromancy and death mastery vs master of all aspects of magic= victory for Boccob without effort... |
| Rania11-05-07, 03:07 PM | If Boccob knows all spells, EVER, then he surely knows one for defeating attacking deities. |

He doesn't, though his followers might like to believe that he does. Likewise Nerull doesn't know everything about Death. The differences to a mortal might be largely academic though. |

But still. Does God of DEATH say nothing to you? As in, poof, cease to exist I take your life no save kind of death? |
| grindalseato11-06-07, 08:31 AM | deffinately boccob because boccob has a history of taking down other dieties and has a thirst for blood, now if im wrong please tell me but boccob had one major battle that he lost where he lost one of his eyes and then he vowed to destroy that diety at whatever cost, meaning that whoever stood in his way would most likely die because boccob if i am correct is a nuetral evil alignment so he has nothing to lose. so deffinately boccob hands down. |

You're confusing Boccob, a Neutral deity, with Gruumsh, a Chaotic Evil deity. They are nothing alike, although you could also be referring to about half the tale of Vecna, the other half being off goes his hand. |

I'm ALREADY chronically sleep-deprived; it comes from being a university student with internet access 24/7 who's addicted to this site among others. |
| grindalseato11-07-07, 12:00 PM | yes now that i am more awake i remember that it was gruumsh that i was thinking about. forgive my innnaccuracy. for i had fallen asleep roughly around 25 minutes later. allow me to reread the tales of the two dieties and i will get back to you later. thank you. |

I know exactly what you mean, as I fall into the same catagory of being a college student with internet. And an obsession with D&D, of course. |
