Demogorgon has a CL = to a balor, a strange idea to me. How you see the CL. Tank iou:D
Witch 04-28-07, 10:45 AM	Personally, I strongly feel that Caster Level shouldn't be limited to 20, but it should always remain in line with CR - not HD. Caster level can have a significant impact on major battles, depending on the spell or spell-like ability involved. If it is too high (perhaps because the hit dice are far higher than the challenge rating), this will have an impact on battles, making them far harder, which requires you to raise the CR. This will result in other aspects of the monster becoming too weak for the challenge rating - in other words, if your caster level and challenge rating significantly differ, your monster is likely to either be too powerful or too weak in combat, depending on whether you adjust the CR afterwards or not. I hence suggest keeping both of them about equivalent.
