hello

i'm rather new here but i was wondering if anyone else besides myself has a deity that has MPD

the reason for his disorder is because of his creation

he was created by the merging of the 15 base dragon spirits
(the souls from each of the base 15 true dragons)

well having all facets of alignment merged into one i thought it'd be interesting for him to have 10 personalities

(one of each alignment and two of true nuetral)

I'd imagine he'd be too busy foiling his own evil plots when his good personalities surfaces and finding ways to get rid of his good personalities when his evil personalities surfaces. He'd be so busy he wouldn't be granting any spells and even bother with any mortals in any way. While it's funny to see one so complicated, it doesn't make much logic sense (in terms of his dealing with mortals when he has a much much greater thing to do)

Maybe he can have different aspects for each of is personnalities. Each advancing their own agendas. Sometimes they clash, other time they work together, but most of the time they are alone.

Each personnality could have their own cult and beliefs. In fact, you could have a single god in your world, but it's different aspects/personnalities
are a complet pantheon in themself.

I believe that Demogorgon has MPD. One of his goals is to integrate...well subsume...one of the personalities. I guess it'd be schizophrenia though. Psych never was my strong subject.

possible, he would need mortals as the only way to interact with himself. Are you going to make each personality to have a different cult?

And how does such abomination come to be? a war between dragonkings? a punishment from higher deities? a total freak accident?

as for my deity it would be because of a muchkinizing DM who thought he created the toughest final boss in the world

he told me to take one of each dragon i could find add up their stats as great wyrm and give it a name so i did

and as to storyline

he is the spirits of all the first of a dragon species combined together by the whim of Io but, because of all the conflicting alignments he has a hard time keeping himself under control so i gave him MPD
